Woke up this morning, and the previous, with images of the German grand Prix all over the front pages of the paper.

Not sure why, but it was really vivid.

Yes, but there was a disaster in Germany. Sometimes the details are not accurate but the theme is. 19 people crushed to death at the love parade concert. So perhaps that is the connection.

I have had a few over the years. Some have been incredibly vivid. I had a bit of a purple patch for premonition dreams in my last 6 months in Chester back in 1988.

Premonition dreams have included a DC10 crashing, a flood in Towyn, I had a repeat dream of Concorde crashing the week before it did, and the last very strong one was the 7/7 bombings in London. I remember dreaming of Asians setting bombs off all over London. It was very powerful. I can always tell if it is a premonition dream and of significance. I woke up the Saturday before the bombings and my first words to my wife were "They're going to bomb London!"

Next one is going on my Facebook status. Mind you, if I had put that on there, I would have had a knock on the door from the old bill before long.

I have had 2 dream premonition's & one that I just Knew was going to happen. The 2 dream ones ... the first one was that Princess Diana was going to die in a few weeks & that was a few weeks B4 it happened. I remember telling my mum & dad in the morning when I woke up.... few weeks later they were away on holiday I got woke up cos the phone was ringing think I( was still p**sed & my mum telling me Diana had died that was freaky

the 2nd was that 2 planes (I thought Jet planes) crashed over the river Dee just a few weeks later 2 gliders crashed over the river Dee less than 1 mile from where I pictured the crash in my dream

You're all freaks. Mine are just little things like someone would say a particular thing in a particular place at a particular time - something small and meaningless. Nothing major like the DEATH you lot are dreaming about...

the london bombings were all planned anyway though...

Not sure I believe this kind of stuff. Do any of you fall asleep with the TV or radio on, because your brain can take in a lot of stuff subconsciously.

I once had a dream that Lee Bowyer had died, which was pretty freaky, and then I woke up and watched the news and a picture of him appeared on the screen, and for two seconds I absolutely crapped myself, but the news was just that he'd been signed by Leeds. I've obviously heard two news stories in my sleep, one about a football signing and one about a death, and my brain had decided to mix them together

when i was little i used to have a recurring dream about a tunnel like air raid shelter in mickle trafford by the primary school. never thought anything of it until years later i was told there used to be one there. that put the willies up me a little bit.

I am interested to know what your point is. I certainly didn't know that, although very bizzarely, my Dad was in their presence that weekend as he was having a drink and overheard one of them arguing with the hotelier insisting that they only gave one of their names. He was sat on the next table to them.

i had a dream last night i was eating giant marshmellows-and when i woke up this morning all my pillows were gone

on the same day as 7/7 the police were doing exercies in the same places as the bombs went off and the same sceario so they didnt know of it was real or exercise, same with the 9/11 the fast air thats on stand by for terroist bombings etc were doing exercises same scenario i.e. planes hijacked and flown into the same buildings, and have you ever seen the video of world trade centre building 7 go down no plane hit it and it fell as if fred dibneh had done it

I remember when I was younger, I was at my god parents house watching the tele when the BBC logo came up and as soon as it did I said to my mum '' The queens mother has died '' and after a short pause, the announcer then stated that the queen's mother had infact died in her sleep.

I was probibly the most freaked out out of all of us!!!

That is truly frightening,but not surprising,another "Leak" from someone in MI5 says that David Kelly was assassinated,i'm afraid the "Establishment" is one thing you can't beat.

I am open minded on this, and also conspiracies do happen. The best way for them to be dismissed is for the conspirators to denounce critics as conspiracy theorists, making people think of them as crack pots. I think Noam Chomsky wrote about this. Language is very powerful, and expertly used by authorities.

Why are all the premonitions about death and disaster? Doesn't anyone ever have a premonition about something good happening, like a vaccine programme, or the potato crop thriving? Or is this not dramatic enough?

Never had a premonition ...... except for the one I'm going to have next Thursday !

Ha Ha, I did actually have a premonition about Chester's goal at home to Man City in the cup a few years back. The scorer and the way we scored was exactly the same.

Premonition - clue is in the word - PRE ie before it's happened. Let's have some predictions for future events.

Another gory one, had a dream last night that someone had a fight and fell onto the railway lines on the merseyrail line. Injured his legs...


now we wait for the report in the news in the next few days......

Good one, how long do we have to wait? People die on railway lines all the time. It's likely that if you wait long enough that you're prediction will come true.

Hey, don't diss Freud, he really is the master. Perhaps the correlation is because much of humanity is obsessed with sex. It is the prime genetic driver in any organism to reproduce, so hard wired into the very fundamental parts of the brain which have been around from the beginning of evolution.

I can't help but think that if someone had a dream about a thriving potato crop that they wouldn't be quick to spread it about, unlike dreaming that London is about to be bombed etc.

Predict enough things with no set time frame, and the chances are you'll get a few right.

Me and my mate once had exactly the same dream/nightmare.
We both witnessed a plane crash in the dream, we dreampt it happened in exactly the same field and that we were standing in exactly the same spot when we saw it...freaked me out a bit.

This has happened a few times with me and my twin.

That is peculiar in itself. I take it it didn't come true then?

In the 50s I dreamed that number 8 won the grand national,Itold all my pals whothen bet on it, Ididnt!!! it won ,name MERRY MAN
