Is there sufficient interest for a CFC iPhone app?
What sort of features would you like to see on such a thing?
Off the top of my head I was thinking:
Fixture list with clickable links to the away grounds to show addresses, postcodes for GPS, maps etc
Results list
Leauge table
News feed (from somewhere?)
Possibility of a link through to streaming match commentary when available
Viewable match programme (or programmes from past games)
Quick links to sponsers websites to help drive revenue (might actually be an aid to getting sponsorship if they knew that we would promote thier business like this?)
Even *that* lot would require quite a bit of work, but... anyone interested?
How many fans are there with iPhones?

Out of interest, how do you go about writing an iphone app? What sort of coding is it?

Jul 23 2010, 08:45 AM
The coding is in an apple-specific language called Objective-C and is based on the Cocoa Touch framework. The SDK only runs on Macs, so there is no Windows-based SDK at all AFAIK.
Android and Blackberry... hmmm... be interesting but i dont have either of those devices, so they won't be anytime soon.
Unless I made the information available on a website and formatted specifically for mobile devices then you could see it easily that way? We will see.

Top stuff mate, looking good.
How about a live feed, using say twitter, when there is a match on? It would only need someone at the game to update the twitter feed.

the live feed is already happening on twitter all it would need doing is linking up, i'm pretty sure it could be done.

Its sad that the days of the company runner are past,it was so simple to give him a message and send him on his way, and give him a good bollocking if he was late back.

The Clubs tab...

the club detail screen holds the badge, the name, the address and telephone number of the club. Each club in the league is listed.

The three buttons there are map view, wikipedia link and club website link.
