Had to book an appoitment for tomorrow to collect my iphone 4.
Anyone else got an iphone 4, if so is it as good as they make out?

My brother has got one and seems to like it. Mind you, he is the type who changes phone every couple of months. He's already had a Nokia, Sony Ericsson, iPhone 3gs and a Blackberry Pearl this year alone.
I'd be interested to see what others think of it though, I'm looking at getting one to see me through the next 3 years at university, but with a £500 price tag, its not the easiest of decisions.

I should be getting one if I can grab it on a cut price from O2 like a mate did.

I got mine last week sim free from Apple and sold my old one for £250 so it only cost me £250

.
As for the phone its got a faster chip and a better camera HD video recording better battery life and a great screen.
But its like any phone you either love or hate it.
In the past I've had more phones than soft Mick but 17 months ago got my first iphone and found it spot on which I've only just sold.
So for me the choice was easy!
'till the end

To be honest i think its only Apple that did it.
I found it a nightmare waiting for o2 to pull there finger out for pay as go which never happened in the end.
I chance my arm and pre ordered one sim free with Apple in Liverpool just in case and picked it up on the release date and I've got to say the service was excellent they set it up and had me up and running straight away.
Might be worth calling them up to see if they have any stock mate good luck!

You talking about the Iphone 4 or the Iphone? If your talking about the Iphone 4 then how much did your mate get it for?

Have to wait ages for it on three, even though I've been with them for years, because I didn't register interest on their site as early as some. Joke.

Can you buy an Iphone handset on its own? I've got a contract that I'm happy with and with another year left on it, a Vodafone SIM card but no handset. My Satio's f**ked and it wasn't insured.

Yes you can get one from Apple sim free for £500 but you need to get a micro sim from Vodafone and swap your number on to it thats what i had to do with my o2 number

What network you on? You may have to change your data service set up in the settings?

There should be something in settings about the cellular data network. You'll be able to get the right settings from the 02 site. I had the same problem with my 3g and this worked.

Am sure it has been on here before, its been all over the news as well about signal problems with the new iPhone 4. Apparently, the sensor is placed at the bottom left hand side of the phone and this becomes a problem when the phone is held, particularly for left handed people. Not sure if this is your problem, but Apple's advice is to change the way you hold it!
