Did anybody see this last night? What a fantastic advert for Rugby League, especially when compared to some of World Cup matches so far.

Sickening! Great game though - imagine Sky will be pleased they shifted it to Sunday to avoid clashing with the England match. Such a tough, exciting spectacle compared to that shower.

That and Crusaders overturning the Whinos on their own patch went some way to making up for a last minute defeat for the Gladiators.

Unlucky. In Wigan away to Riversiders next Saturday? Will try to pop round if I'm done with holiday packing. Be a nice warm-up for The Hold Steady in Manchester later on.

Very surprised by Crusaders' result. They seem pretty dangerous now as there's no guarantee which version will turn up each week. Noble made a habit of getting Wigan to the play-offs with a late surge though, so you wouldn't bet against them nicking one of the final spots with results like yesterday. Had been banking on a flying Leeds doing some damage to Warrington next weekend, but less confident on that now. Fingers crossed for a backlash.

Aye, 2.30 PM kick-off at St Judes on Saturday. Expecting a tough one as their first team are without a game.

Crusaders have had to change their structures due to the injuries of Witt and Sammut and its working in their favour at the moment. Other teams will soon wise up but they have a few talented lads for sure. Mellars has been an excellent signing. Not convinced Warrington are the real deal personally but Leeds definitely seem to be regressing under McClennan.
