Big Si
I've come across quite a few programmes, some of which go back to 1952 and there is obviously some memorable games involved such as the famous league cup run. Any programme experts know if any of these are worth anything? Obviously they have high sentimental value but if some would command a high price I'd consider selling as I could do with the wonga at the moment. If anyone is interested/or could estimate a value on these it would be much appreciated - I didn't want to simply put them on eBay and risk losing them for next to nothing.

Hi Si , i do a lot of dealing on Ebay with Chester programmes and others and in my opinion the 1950,s would go for about £5 to £10 each ( a bit more if someone has a gap in thier collection or you get 2 bidders outgidding each other) as for the rest maybe a couple of quid for the villa semi and not more than a £1 each for the others , if their sentimental KEEP THEM !!

Si - well in excess of £200 worth of memorabilia. The book "Keep the Flag Flying" in half decent condition is worth £90-100 minimum and is now getting very scarce indeed.

Thanks for the replies. If anyone wants to make any offers then I'm willing to listen.....

Si, I really wouldn't bother mate. As stated above, £5-10 tops. The book is the only thing of value. For instance I bought a Tranmere / Chester 1954 programme last month on ebay for £1.50. The market isn't there mate. I also bought the complete set of 85-86 aways for £7.50. The market is for buyers, and they will be worth more to you as you get older, believe me.

How much for this please? Was at that game but long since lost my programme.
Oaks Blue
Donate them for auction, with a percentage of profits going to CFU?

1950 seems to be a cut-off, with those predating this time worth considerably more.
Wartime ones should fetch at least 50 quid, probably over a ton. Strangely, pre-war are sightly less, probably because there are more of them.
Also, it's often important who they were playing. I have Chester programmes against Everton (the legendary Tommy Lawton played) dated March 45 and against Man City dated December 44. There are a lot of collectors for these big clubs so they're worth more.
