i used to help run them nights, 'chester underground' in off the wall and earlier in the mail club. was always a good laugh so i'm looking forward to this one.

edit: thinking about it, i remember you now, you were in revs every sunday always in good spirits wink.gif

Where's D Melting Pot exactly?

Are these going to be regular nights?

Ha! Yeah. Used to love my Sundays - game of footy in the morning, polish off two bottles of White Zinfandel in the Eight Rights and stumble out of a taxi outside Revs.

Looking forward to it - D'Meltin Pot has a few good nights on now, the Chubby Knuckles stuff on a Thursday is good too.

Was reading something in one of the locals last night that the fella who owns the Sugermill in Stoke (who also owns the Platinum Lounge) has applied to develop the old St Andrews Church opposite the Plumbers into a live music venue. That would be mint as we were only saying last week how Chester was crying out for somewhere like the Ritz in Manchester. The permission asked for includes a balcony, and 2 performance arenas.

Opening night, Go Kart Commandos support Band of Horses. I can dream!

Be a bit wierd, as I got married and my 2 kids were christened in there... biggrin.gif

Unfortunately Chester is crying out for a lot of things culture wise. Since the Gateway and the Odeon left us especially things have been a bit dry. Although I also would find it wierd that St Andrews Church was turned into music venue. It might work though, Blackhouse for dinner followed by the main event, certainly an expensive night. Plus if its the guy whose owns Plat Lounge fronting it then it should be worth considering. bowdown.gif
