Just wondering who is going to buy it.
I for one will be in game Friday morning and spend the whole day, trying to eat into the -25.
Mike Griffiths
I'll be getting it and going as Chester as usual. Its safe to say this will be the hardest FM/Champ game ever with this -25 points and s**t squad. I will also be running an online clan game once again, probably starting in the championship.
TomCCFC87
Just installed it and about to boot it up for the first time.

I told myself i would wait for it to go down in price this year but woke up this morning and saw an advert for it on TV and instantly went out and paid £30 for it despite the fact i couldve got it much cheaper online (but didnt fancy waiting for the posties to deliver it during a strike)
ANDERS
Just bought it from Tesco for £27, about to install now. smile.gif

I havn't got it yet - I'll get it when it goes down in price abit as i don't often go on it. If i download the demo for now and complete that and then but the game can i still continue my demo career on the proper game?

yeah
TomCCFC87
Got through my pre season games and played 5 games of the league season.

Currently unbeaten with 2 wins and 3 draws

Goals seem to be very rare in this years version and although all the usual features are there its just a bit harder to find them due to the layout seeing the biggest overhaul its had in years so it takes a bit of getting used to
ANDERS
Only managed three friendlies so far, only made a couple of signings, brought back Alex Smith for his third spell with us, he's 33 and quite slow but good on set pieces. Also brought a lad in on loan from Accrington, Chris Turner, decent right winger.

Also noticed when you join the club at the start the past few years SV's status has been set to 'Loves The Club', down a notch to 'Happy To Stay' this year. unsure.gif
Treeny
Played the Demo for abit today as Wolves. Always found these games of games to slow but thought this one was decent.
TomCCFC87
Despite going 7 games unbeaten at the start of the season im still getting messages warning me of record low attendances at the deva. Looks like even the guys at Sports Interactive recognise how unpopular Vaughan has become
fowlezy
Got mine for £17. In Feb 4 points till out of the drop zone with chester
tom - chesterr
Where did u get yours from so cheap?
CestrianJim
Tempted, but I'd much rather play than dictate.......... how long does the demo last????
Whisper
I bought it and I've downloaded a database that allows you to play from the 10th tier in English football such as Noth West Counties Div 1 etc.

Ive started as Darlington Railway Athletic in the Enlgish Northern League Divsion 2

can anyone post chesters team up that starts at the beginning of the game cheers
OnlyCoolKidsSupportChester
I am going to buy it, but I have an enjoyable season on Football Manager 2009, when I get bored of this season I will get the 2010, plus the price will have gone down by then aswell.

I played the demo as Chester, and by bringing in a few loanee's, found it quite easy to get back to 0 points. If I had completed the season, I would have probably got relegated, but it would have a been close cut. cityscarf.gif

What do I do to continue with my demo version when I start the actual game up?

Fair do's, the bloke who has spent the time and effort to make that update for the game is an absolute genius, and has no doubt just made this version the best ever! I think I might just start a new game taking a NW Counties Div 1 team to the top flight!!! wink.gif
Alberta Blue
Started one game as CCFC. I am down to -3 points at the end of September (great start). However at the end of Sept CCFC have to start paying back £68k in loan repayments a month to the chairman!!! In return i sacked the chuckle bros which the supporters spokesman issued a press release saying the fans fully supported my decision. Talk about art imitating real life. rolleyes.gif
If you want a good laugh check out juniors stats!! I guess Bob helped with the stats on players from the club. Weight 11st 11lbs!!!! Natural fitness and stamina both 11 out of 20!!! biggrin.gif
Can a techy type post his stat page on here for everyone to enjoy? Its a bit out of my limited techy range.

You will find that the 'board' inject sums between 50 and 100k most months to ease the debts to the state.

I've just started my second season, currently in the playoff positions after finishing in 14th position after making up the -25 deduction in early October.

Deva Chanter
I have just started my second season. In my first season, I was relegated in 21st place, just 4 points off safety. angry.gif I struggled massively after losing Lynch and Kay in January and the fact that Chadwick was the only players who could score goals for me. Blundell was useless and scored 2 goals in 34 appearnaces.

Also, I am in £500,000 debt. Don't get all excited about cash injections from the board, they come back to bite you. I have a £4m debt to Stephen Vaughan (who sold up to Eric Whalley), a £1.2m State Loan and a bank loan of £625K, which is what provided those useless cash injections.

So, basically, if you are relegated to the BSN, there is absoloutely no hope of ever being able to buy any players ever and it is only a matter of time before I enter administration I would have thought.

However, I was clever enough to realise in reality I was going to be relegated to BSN and offered almost all the squad new contracts meaning I should. theoretically, completely mush this division.
Alberta Blue
Quite suprised i picked up Neil Wainwright on loan and mostly using the squad you start with. Chadwick has 8 goals, Greg has 6!! However struggling to get a decent RB and goals from midfield. Any tips?

Henrik Ojamaa on loan from Derby County helped me out a lot. I only managed to get him for 3 months, but he bagged 4 goals in 13 appearances from the right of midfield.
ccfcfan
just completed first season with chester, stayed up smile.gif finished about 15th michael coulson was awesome he got about 23 goals,
player recommendations:

james younghusband
Jerson dos santos
pavol suhaj

Well for some reason we are affiliated to Man City so you should be able to get Donal whatshisname on left wing and Kay who is good cover for right back and midfield.

Offer fringe players to clubs for nothing to reduce the wage bill, that should allow you to sign more players on free transfers. In the first season i adjusted the transfer budget using the excess wage budget and signed Wesley Ngo Baheng from Newcastle reserves for 5k plus 50% future transfer fee and he scores one every two games or so.

Yeah add another user go either Chelsea or Man City sell them the 2 Vaughans for £50m, sign whoever you want then biggrin.gif

In my first season of keeping Chester up (finished on 68 points) only 12 shy of play offs, SV goes and sacks me the w****r, wont be going Chester again while that t**t is still in charge biggrin.gif
Mancot Blue
One of you geeks must know of an online crack to download it for nowt.

Anyone?
Alberta Blue
Just pay for like normal people you tight a**e!!
Big Si
I've got a free download of it. Although you have to disconnect from the internet to play it cos they'll recognise it's a copy. So you wouldn't get the updates or network play, unless someone finds a crack. Vauxhall Motors are selling it for £15 in their club shop, might get it next time I'm down there.
Deva Chanter
I am not sure if FM know anything, but they seem to know of our relationship with our chairman. In my first season, with Vaughan as chairman, I was constantly getting messages of low attendance.

In my 08/09 season - BSP
Chairman - Stephen Vaughan
Average Attendance - 1624

Also, in this season I did quite well. Finishing just 5 points off the drop zone and winning 1/3 of my games.

09/10 - BSN
Chairman - Eric Whalley
Average Attendance - 1543 (less than 100 hundred in difference)

10/11 - BSP
Chairman Eric Whalley
Average Attendance - 2308 - Thats a difference of over 600 more fans with Eric Whalley as chairman, all be it without a 25 point deduction.

Very good research by Sigma games, or a lot of fickle fans?
Woody
Very good research I'd say......But then I would say that.

It was me that did the research. biggrin.gif

Yes, I do.

I'm not referring to a computer game, either.

Cruise should stick to what he's good at.

Dont know what you games you watch, but for a start, how many times have you seen Andy Murphy in action?

second of all, im sure you have a personal vendetta against him for some reason, but John Danby has been a loyal servant and a fantastic goalkeeper for us.

Didn't you say in another thread recently that you haven't been to a game since Alty away? Which was back in August by the way.

I've got no complaints about Danby myself, he's done a good enough job this season.
Derry Exile
I do not rate Danby sorry, how long has he been with us now!? Not developed at all since we brought him to the club, infact he's gone backwards. Get rid I say
