I have 2 adult admission tickets for Alton Towers, they have to be used on Wed 30th Sept.
They were free through the Sun newspaper and I now can't get the time off work to use them.

If anyone wants them I will be at wr*xham on Sunday or I can post them.
lukowski14

If you're determined about going you could do what I'm doing on Saturday, and have done in the past.
Get the train there.

£5.85 return U16, so I imagine its about £11-£12 adult.
7:17AM out of Chester, change at Crewe for Uttoxeter.
There's an official bus from the station there to alton towers for £4 return.

Deva fan, every item that is advertised on "dee bay" you seem to be interested in, but i have never known you to actually buy anything.

When a car is advertised for sale at the bottom of the advert there sometimes is a piece saying "no time wasters please" you my friend are one of them "time wasters".

I was genuinely interested in these Alton Towers tickets as i knew somebody else that wantd to go, with you saying that you want them i did not reply to the advert as it will be first come first serve. Now you change your mind and decide you cant go it is now too late for me to have them because its too short notice to the other person to get time off work.

Moral of the story is, if your not really interested dont comment. Capiche??

I would like to confirm that I am NOT interested in these Alton Towers tickets as I am going on Sunday and don't want to go twice.

Hope that helps.

get a grip martyn, i was interested in the tickets same as you - i never said i was definitely going to have them at all, i also have to plan such trips

then a mate who i was relying on pulled out because he can't come down from uni - in all honesty, not my problem.. i immediately informed the seller

as for the car, i was looking at buying my first car - i then quit my job, so i could not fund said car, understand my position ?

Not only me, also Garoldblue was put off by your first post about the tickets, how much planning was actually need is beyond me, the tickets are to be used Wednesday!! Chester69 has kindly put an alternative method of transport which costs SLIGHTLY more than what it would in petrol and still you dont want the tickets. I have noticed that you have never purchased anything off Dee Bay despite all the "im interested in buying that" posts you muster up.

The war is on now Deva Fan and if i ever see you bidding on something on here i will happily outbid you on any item even if i dont really have any use for it myself. cityscarf.gif

martyn, that is really childish - and after i try the mature and honest approach, sad

and for your information i did try arranging the trip by train but too many of my mates have lessons in college, sadly

and i have twice acquired items advertised on here

Fear not, Martyn - they've not gone to waste - am looking forward to a fine day out on Wednesday now! wink.gif

I'm sure MB will be relieved that the tickets haven't gone to waste Chris unsure.gif

I was there yesterday. Hope for your sake Alton Towers have sorted their technical problems out. Oblivion was out of action half the time and Rita seemed to be broken a lot of the day.

Was on free tickets though so couldn't complain too much.

Have been on Oblivion many times before so wouldn't miss that too much if it was out of action. Wouldn't mind giving Rita another couple of blasts though - had to queue for ages last time we went, think it was the brand new ride that Summer, and it took that long to queue we figured the extra fifteen mins to get a front row seat was probably worthwhile. Don't think they've opened anything major in the few years since I last went - seem to be focussing on the 'resort' element of it. Always a cracking day if the weather holds, though.

I went on Saturday and the only thing that was broken was Hex, which is SH*TE anyway.

Nothing new that I noticed from last year or so. Rita still had the longest queue, although we managed to catch it not long after a breakdown so a lot of people had left the queue and given up.

I used to like the Thunder looper many years ago, but these days you cant beat Oblivion, Nemesis and the Ripsaw.

I can't stand rides, and along with The Pepsi Max and the Iron Bru at Blackpool, Ripsaw was vile.

Making me sick just thinking about all the spinning and bouncing unsure.gif

my trips to alton towers were always good fun, a great day out with mates

and nemesis is probably my favourite ride

Nemesis is my favourite too. Air's probably one of the best too.
Not to keen on Oblivion, boring once you've done it once or twice already. It's worth a ride, but not if there's any sort of queue.
Never used to like Ripsaw but its one of my favourites now.
