DCFC News Room
DevaChat FC travel to Scarborough this weekend in a match to start their IFA campaign for the 2009/10 season.

2009/10 season still hangs very much in the balance for DCFC due to the fact they play supporters of other teams before Chester City matches. The current situation Chester City FC find themsleves in has put home and away games vs supporters teams from Oxford, Cambridge, Mansfield, York and AFC Wimbledon would likely be in doubt.

Everyone at DCFC is hoping some resolution can be found for Chester City so that both teams fixtures can be fulfilled.

In terms of this weekend DCFC take a 16-man squad over to Yorkshire to play a supporters team from Scarborough Athletic, who's players have been in contact with DCFC to offer kind words, given the sad demise of Scarborough, they have some idea of what we are currently facing.

The KO is at 11am, with the squad staying for the evening to sample the delights of the Scarborough nightlife.

We will let you know how DCFC get on in the seasons opening game.

Good luck guys. At least you got to start the season! Are you affiliated to the FA by any chance?

Deva Chat FC kicked off the IFA league campaign with a 3-3 away draw at Scarborough. DCFC took the lead three times, but were pegged back each time. An impressive display, dominating possession in the first half (strong winds and changes on both sides made for a scrappier second half), but ultimately disappointing to have conceded the third equaliser with around ten minutes remaining. Still, kicking off the league season with an away draw is hardly a bad result, and the 16-strong DCFC side made sure they enjoyed what Scarborough had to offer in the evening/early morning afterwards! guiness.gif

The Chatters' next IFA league match is another away trip, to Stockport on Monday 31st August ahead of the (as it stands) scheduled match between Altrincham and Chester.

I'm sure a more in-depth report will appear soon.
