In the new Firefox 3, I've noticed that instead of the avatars etc on the left displaying properly, the use a small box with horizontal scroll, then a massive blue gap before the text box starts.
Just thought I'd point it out. Noticed Krankie is a firefox fan.

My advice to you is to use IE.

I'll stick to good old Mac Safari, although I have in the past also used Opera on a Windows machine.

Internet explorer is awful, as is safari.
Firefox is much better.

I don't usually go in for beta versions of software but thought I'd give FF3 a try as I've woken up far too eary and am bored.
Installed very quickly and after a few customisation tweaks all the icons I use regularly were on the toolbar where I want them to be. Looks smart and seems to render quickly. Also DC is rendering fine, no avatar problems here.
There are some additional bookmark features (Smart Bookmarks), which makes recently surfed and most visited sites easily available. This is either a useful feature or an invasion of privacy depending on your point of view.
Behind the scenes, malware detection has now been added to the phishing detection introduced in FF2.
Overall very good. I was planning to roll back to version 2 until 3 is officially released but I think I'll stick with 3 beta unless any problems occur.

That will be because although I said avatar, I meant the emoticons on the left of the full reply / new topic page. I could just be my screen is too wide, its just FF2 used to stretch it.

Good spot. I've replicated the problem on here and on another IPB forum.
I've sent a support ticket to IPB as I suspect it is some non-compliant html in their code rather than a rendering issue with FF3.

I've updated FF3 beta 4 to beta 5 today but there's no change.
Doesn't really make much difference, its a very minor annoyance at most.

The problem still persists with the public release; I'll chase up Invision - they fobbed me off last time.

The IP.Board user community have come up with a fix quicker than Invision themselves. There was a small error in one of the cascading style sheet files which I've now corrected.
