When you quote a reply that in itself already contains a number of quotes, the new reply becomes ridiculously long.

It's tough to explain, but if needs be I'll do an example later. unsure.gif

Is there an option to make it not so? I'm a member of another forum that keeps quotes to a maximum of 2, and it by the time you quote it is more than 2, it deletes the first quote. It is still possible to see what the reply is to, and the post before so other people can get the jist of it? glare.gif

Sorry if my wording here is awful, I have just awoken! Heh! laugh.gif

There is a way you can sort it. Just manually delete the quotes you don't need in your post.

I personally do that when I'm quoting it. I mean something as standard.

i know what you mean, it can be very annoying when really long posts get quoted, sometimes it can be several long quotes. not a bad idea limiting quotes down to a few.

It's worth looking at, and I think in the past mods have trimmed down posts with an excessive number of quotes. Some of them almost look like vortexes!

I'll keep an eye on it. It makes the board run slower as well, especially if images are quoted.
