Wow. For someone who's been a member for 3 days, you soon learned the controls.

I have to say I agree with Mike. We should be kind to people who are sensitive to flashing images, some people even have seizures because of them.
For that reason, I think all flashing images should be banned from Devachat and I have made my concerns known.
If anyone who has one of these flashing avatars would voluntarily change it to a non-flashing one... or greatly slow down the rate of flashing to a more acceptable level, I, for one, would be very grateful.

I actually didn't think yours was too bad as it was

It's the ones that flash very quickly that I think might cause some people problems..

To those who have voluntarily done so, Thank You. It is much appreciated!

It's not the fact they flash. It's what they say.
Ban them all.

There are people who have epileptic fits or worse due to flashing images, and all we are trying to do is safeguard them. You should be kind to people who are sensitive to those sort of flashing images, ok?

Don't be absurd.
I've lived with epilepsy for years and something so small wouldn't affect me. The difference between flash bulbs and strobe lighting and a small flash in an area the size of 4 postage stamps is massive.

So because they don't affect you personally, it's a case of "I'm all right, Jack", and no-one else matters?

There is the annoyance factor too. I've replaced all the City crest SV out avatars with the slowed down version as the original was just too distracting when you are trying to read a thread.

With all due respect i think i know a lot more about it than you do.
