WAT-ER WAY TO START 2008!
DEVA Chat FC welcome the supporters team of Derbyshire-based Buxton FC to the Deeside Leisure Centre tomorrow for their first fixture of the year and Chatters' boss Nath Auty can call on a near full strength squad.
The Chatters ended 2007 with a mixed set of results and look to begin the new year with a flourish against a Buxton side whom they meet for the first time.
Auty quipped: 'I didn't realise Buxton had that many supporters to form a team! In all seriousness, though, we expect a typically tough encounter. They all are in this league.
'The league is incredibly competitive this season - we have taken three points from Tranmere but lost to Bury 'B' who Tranmere beat!
Auty has been able to select from the same pool of 20 players for the previous three games.
He added: 'It is nice to have a settled squad without too many changes, although naturally we have one or two dropping out for various reasons.
'I believe that sort of consistency proves beneficial, but we have a number of players who can come into the side and hold their own.'
The hosts are missing fiery striker Tom Sharman but centre backs Matt Darlington and Stef Lambe return into the frey following recent lay-offs, whilst midfield battler Andy Holliday is also back in contention.
