As you know this server is a pile of crap and I want a new one as I'm sure the rest of you do too.
I'll be getting in touch with the ISP in the morning - in the meantime please bear with us.
We have gone for the 'Deva Chat lite' look in the meantime with reduced service and less frills to conserve server resource until we can get the hell outta here.

I can't help you with the server problem Krankie as I am technically challenged, but please sort it out, all I can get is black and white.

You reckon this site would last long without the adverts?

Of course.
It doesn't cost that much to run it.
Probably only £10 a month - if that could be as cheap as £10 a year.

So it's either £10 or 1100% higher?

£10 a year might be enough to host your unvisited blog PB but it doesn't come close to covering the cost of our server requirements.

Try hasweb's shared hosting, www.hasweb.com. Ultimate account - 5GB storage, 100GB/month bandwidth, usual control panel and software to install. At today's exchange rates, US$99/year is cheap.

Shared hosting is not powerful enough. Need VPS which is what I've gone for. It's an ideal half-way house between shared hosting and a fully dedicated server.

How much has that set you back?

£14.99 for first month. If it works out I'll buy an annual subscription in the New Year.
I'll be attempting to move the board over to the new server tonight so prepare for some downtime I'm afraid. I'll try to keep it to a minimum.
