FITNESS WORRIES EASE AS GROUPS ARE FINALISED


Deva Chat FC's managerial trio have been granted some positive news ahead of the tonorrow's Stockfest 2007 tournament.

The 16-man squad was hit by illness doubts over Mark Ephgrave, Alan Hitchin, Dom Rae and Joe Mills, but latest news indicates that three of the four are fit to play some part in the day's proceedings, whilst Mills is expected to undergo a late fitness test tomorrow morning.

The inaugural tournament, staged at Stockport County FC's highly-envied training ground, hopes to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society, and features eight teams in a tournament format.

Deva Chat FC have been grouped with representatives from Tranmere Rovers, Hull City and Manchester United. The other group features supporters sides of hosts Stockport County, Mansfield Town, West Bromwich Albion and Scottish side Ayr United

Meanwhile, the club hope to announce a number of friendlies over the coming days with a possible two-legged tie against a local Sunday league outfit, and a friendly against radio station Dee 106.3.

The club are also in discussions to decide how to offer their collective support to Chester City Football Club for the coming season.
