Called "If i had done it" Which will be an account of "if" i had killed my wife and her lover ;this is how i wouldve done! Is this revolting or what? What does it say firstly; about the Worlds most powerful Media Mogul that he would pay this man a vast amount of money;and secondly who would want to read it? (Apart from SUN readers perhaps!) And what does it say about O.J. Simpson? You wouldve thought anybody in his position wouldve wanted to keep a low profile.I dont know if anyone has seen the horrific injuries suffered by his wife( They are easily available on the net) But one must feel very sorry for her;and her boyfriends;families;that this whole episode has been dragged up again. It seems now as far as "News" stories go;"Anything goes!"

I heard about this, it would be funny if it wasn't so obviously wrong on so many levels.
Then again, the legal system in America seems to be if you're rich and famous. you're innocent. Starting with the president

I remember him saying just after he was aquitted that he " would not rest" until his wife's murderer had been found. Strange that he now has time to write a book.

O.J. Simpson killed his wife and her friend/lover (delete where applicable) in a fit of jealous rage. IMVHO.

I thought he was proven guilty, but due to americas rule of not being on trail for the same thing twice, he'd gotten away with it. Due to the inital trail giving a not guilty.

A two part TV show - also called "If I Did It" - is to be screened by Fox just prior to the book's release. Some Fox affiliates are refusing to screen it because they regard it as being in bad taste and also they have no desire to make a once rich killer richer.
The author who collaborated with Simpson in the writing of the book has publically stated that she sees the book as a confession.
O.J. Simpson was found not guilty in a criminal court but found guilty of causing wrongful death in a civil court and he had to pay damages to the victems' families.
The burden of proof is not as high in a civil case. Also lessons had been learnt from certain aspects of the presentation of the prosecution case, that were botched in the criminal trial. The race card was also not as overtly played in the civil trial. This added up to a guilty verdict which to my mind was absolutely the right decision.
Unfortunately a civil court can't do anything more than apportion damages. The double jepody law prevented Simpson from being retried in a criminal court where life inprisonment and even the death penalty could have been imposed.
