I first went to a primary school in Bagillt and then a school in Flint it was up a road called the Allt goch (Red Hill) Cant remember the name of it;then i passed the 11plus (just) and went to Holywell Grammar School.I was totally out of my depth;and was demoted after 2years and went to Basingwerk County Secondary were i flourished. Were the Grammar school was geared towards the arts and languages;the County secondary school was geared towards Industry. The best memories were when the school bell went and i could get home to play football! The worst memories were of bullying. So couldnt wait to leave! How naive! Wasnt long before i was wishing i was back in school! unsure.gif

I must say neil Fisher's Biggest fan I do enjoy coming on deva chat and answering the many questions you seem to ask, it help relieves the boredom during the day. Much better than s**tty Red Passion which is full of miserable c**ts who give you abuse if you don't lick Denis Smith's aging bumflaps.

I was educated in St Davids School, rhosnesni, Wr**h*m. Crap memories are being dropped from the football team due to the fact that I missed too many afternoons due to being a lazy sod. Best memories were smoking weed at my mates house every dinnertime then stumbling back in for RE or something ridiculous like that.

I managed, somehow, to pass my 11+. Think I made a few teachers faint that day! i went o King Edward VI grammar in Stratford Upon Avon. Shakespeare's school. Still think it was the worst decision i've ever made in my life. It was an all boys school which was hell. Lot of bullying although they never really got to me for some reason. Teachers were crap, it was just a terrible school.

Moved after my GCSEs to Chipping Campden in Glouscestershire. Had a great couple of years although was introduced to excessive alcoholism/smoking and sadly, weed. Although I don't do that anymore! (the weed bit anyway!).

Then went to Chester uni, hence my affiliation with this never ending cirucs drama!

So many good memories stemmed from football on the yard at lunchtimes, there was some bizaare characters who used to participate. I don't think I could ever forget Grezzer's diving header on the concrete when the ball was about 2 inches off the ground or his graceful fall into a pile of dust as the poster known as Posh Jon ruthlessly hacked him down (not an unknown practice for Jon). Another classic was when a teacher called Mr Chainey went beserk and spent 15 minutes yelling 'who said moo'.

Another schoolboy classic of which I'm still occasionally reminded of - had just bought a Mr Whippy from the Ice Cream van (I was a bit of a chunky monkey back in them days), I briefly looked to the sky only for a pigeon to be hovering above and he ejected a turd which fell straight in mouth (fair play to the pigeon, cracking aim). Bird s**t Si.

^^Post whore.

I went to primary school in Saltney and on the one occasion we didn't play football, we decided to go all Webb Ellis and pick up the ball for a spot of rugby. In my infinite wisdom, I decided to go for a diving try on concrete. Unfortunately my cheek landed first taking a nice piece of skin with it. Mum wouldn't believe I hadn't been fighting.

I remember you giving birth on the astroturf.

Worst memory is the fact that it seems there was at least one death a year in our school.

Another one, though not strictly in school, I was wearing my uniform. I climbed up onto a shed near my house. However I lost my balance and fell backwards, fortunately I had a soft landing.....on a big pile of dog turd.

Best ones are probably Geography lessons, hated them, but they was funny as...

Worst ones.... having English, Miss Brown was a complete t**t.

Anyway, i'm still in high school in my last year, but i had a bad experience in primary school, i had scored a goal in the last minute of a dinner-time game, and everyone piled on me, including a...how can i put this...clincially obese lad who weighed over 13 stone at 9 years old, he would be in the papers if he could be arsed...anyway, i nearly blacked-out and i had to go and see the nurse, and i got sent home, because i fell of the stool she sat me on..sad.gif

Bad experience!

I had that happen to a schoolfriend;he went to his uncles one day and his uncle showed him his collection of guns;and showed him how a cowboy draws with a Colt 45;didnt realise there was a bullet in it and shot the top of his head off.It was terribly sad as he was only about 12 years old.It was all over the sunday papers the following day.I feel sad about more now than i did then;i think at that age you just dont take the enormity of it in;suppose it comes with having your own kids too.

The school a lot of my mates went to, and my sister, suffered two fatal car crashes in 2 years. First one two lads died who were ni the same year as my best mate after one of their dad's lent his son his 2.0i 206 two weeks after he passed his test. drove too fast.

Next year, two lads died in an accident after losing control on an unreported oil spill. Absolutely tragic and words cannot describe how their families must've felt. Not surprisingly, i slowed down a lot after those incidents.

A lad in my form at 6th form's brother hung himself a year after we left. He was incredibly religious and wanted to be with God. Very sad though.

On a lighter note, agree with the above sentiments about football at break time. used to love it although at my first secondary school we were only allowed to play with sponge balls the size of tennis balls! made it very hard! Also didn't have a football team cos rugby was massive, which is a shame. bloody egg chasers!

(Highfield) Primary school memories as I am still in high school smile.gif
Favourite : Being County and Cheshire champions with the school football team in year 6. Fantastic achievement.
Worst : In about year 1 I was dying for the toilet and the teacher wouldnt let me so I let loose on nature and did it in the corner(I regret that, very naughty sad.gif lol)

I went to Hoole first School in Clare Ave. until I was 10 , from there I went to St. James until I was 12 , then I went to Kingsway High School R.I.P. until I left at the age of 16 in 1981........it was at Kingsway that I got the 'nickname' Waz , a name that most people still call me today.

I have a lot of good memories of school.......& some bad !

I suppose we all have , when I was at school I hated it , like most children do , we had a Head of year called Mr. Sprake he was great, he was a member of the 'Magic circle' of magicians , & would come up to you & pull a cigarette from behind your ear , then order you to his office.

His deputy was Mrs. Trelor , she was a right witch, & she hated me & made my life a nightmare . I now live near to her & she is a Governor at my Sons school.

I was at Queens Park until a couple of years ago (at uni now)

Best memories were in the summer terms of my 2 GCSE years when every friday afternoon we school would finnish an hour early and loads of us would head down to Westminster Park. The lads would usually end up playing footy and could usually get a decent 7 or 8 a side game going and would just play until it became too dark to see at which point somebody who lived near by would always run home and come back with a crate of his dads beer which we would sit round and drink whilst recovering from the 5+ hours of football weve just played.

Worst memories were of how much of a shambles the school could be at times with everything being ignored whilst the senior staff focused on the schools new big project like an extension to the building that wasnt needed or attempting to become a specialist arts college when very few pupils chose to do art after KS3 and there were other subjects that needed the money so much more
