Sadly our scheduled game versus the Rochdale Fans before next weeks League Two clash has been called off due to Rochdale being forced to play there IFA Cup match away at Preston that morning. Mark is in contact with there manager Craig and a new date will hopefully be confirmed by this time next week.

Bah. I was looking forward to that. My busy day of playing footie, watching footie and watching rugby league has now been restricted to watching footie ONLY (unless somebody can rush me from Spotland to Old Trafford?).
Joseph Stalin
Rugby is for Benders anyway Mancot.
Mancot Blue
It's a proper mans game, although obviously not on a level with football. Great entertainment too, and I was looking forward to a visit to Old Trafford next Saturday. I fancy Saints to comfortably beat Hull but in grand finals you never know.

Rugby Union is a proper mans game...League is for nancy boys!
Mancot Blue
I'd have to say it's the opposite. Union is all stuck-up toffs, League is proper Nothern hard men.
mole
at the rate its going football is a soft game, no hatchett men they have been wiped out, back in the 60's that challenge on mendes would be alright, but these foringers have made the game soft

Bollox to a crumby afternoon at Spotland Mancot! I've got my grand final ticket.

Chanellge Cup last year.
Grand final this year (hopefully)

It's still tempting but with half an hour between Spotland and Old Trafford, and that's without the after-match football and pre-match rugby traffic, I fear the 6pm kick off has come too early for me.
BlueWolf
obviously not hardcore like me 2 seasons back when i came down from family in middlesborough to wolves for a 3pm kick off, then after that, scoot across the M6 to Aston Vanilla, to watch them play Man Utd.

the football fix was fed that day.

Egg chasing is a naff excuse of a sport.
Mancot Blue
Good job I opted for the footy then isn't it?!

Shame though as I've never been to the football Old Trafford before, only the cricket Old Trafford. As for the sport, League is class. Union is snooty toff pants.

Your missing out Mancot. I've been to Old Trafford 5 times and every time I go there intending to hate the place as it's Manchester United's home but every single time when I walk out into the seats it takes my breath away. A fabulous stadium. Try and get there when you Mancot, it's an experience.

It's not a patch on the Deva though!! tongue.gif
BlueWolf
all said about old trafford, i wasnt that impressed.

st.james park. wow.
Mancot Blue
Agreed, SJP tops every other ground I've been to. It was a sell-out on my visit and under the floodlights too which made it all the more electrifying.
BlueWolf
although man citys is a decent place as well. very high tech.

Man City is the best ground I have been to.

Man City is the best ground I have been to.

Only been to the new ground at man City for a U2 concert so I can't comment fully on that or St James' Park as I've never been there. I was very impressed with The City of Manchester Stadium though when I went to the gig. The old Highbury was a fantastic ground, had loads of character (walking through somebody's back garden to enter the away end)!!

The redevelopment of Ewood Park was impressive but Old Trafford is the best Premiership ground I have ever been to and I've been to quite a few.
