Tonight i'll motly be watching the Eurovision song contest on my spanking new 42" Panasonic PX60. Rock and roll!
Anyone want to by a 37" Panasonic plasma complete with floor stand? It's a cracking tv but it's not HD ready, which won't matter to most people right now. I could flog it on ebay for about £900 but I can't be arsed with the hassle and the shipping etc. If any devachatter wants it they can have it for £800. Many bargains, much cheapness.
Feel free to move this to deebay mods, but if possible leave it here for a while so people see it. Thanks.

Do you have a date for your Sky HD install yet, and has it been moved back?

Yes mate, May 30th, and I've been assured I've not been 'bumped', though I'll believe that when the engineer turns up.

Mine was the 29th May, bumped to the 15th June and now scheduled for the 10th. Sky are f**king useless!
If it interferes with the England game I won't be happy

If England perform how they usually do then you may be happy for that to happen

Make sure you get some compo out of them mate. There's a nice thread on avforums with lots of opinions from people who have had it installed already. General concensus is that it's stunning!
Next I'll have to get a decent surround sound set-up, but they're so expensive. Do you know much about them? Looking for a decent, cheap(ish) set-up.

£20 compensation (or 2 months free HD TV)

I've got a Bose 3-2-1 system that just has 2 small left/right speakers and a bass module. Create a sort of pseudo surround sound with a really nice, wide sound stage but doesn't come close to a true 5.1 system. Problem with that is the mass of cables needed and being able to get speakers in the right places or it doesn't sound that great.
I'd wait until they bring out a wireless, NTX based system with no wires and picture frame like speakers that you can mount flat on the wall. Can't be that far away...

Why don't you just wait for a couple of years, when it'll be 3D hologram sort of stuff. Saves wasting money this year. I'm annoyed that we have to shell out thousands for items that will become obsolete a year or two later. Widescreen, then Plasma/LCD, then HD. SKY, then SKY Digital, then SKY Plus...

Have you still got a 14" black and white TV?
Didn't think so!

Good luck mate, hope you don`t get the same useless t**ts coming out to install it as the first two teams they sent to ours. Took about 6 weeks to sort out and then we had mayhem with it and then we could only get f*ck*ng Welsh news channels

Speaking to the engineer on Friday and the delays are down to Thomson not producing enough boxes, 18000 short fall.
