We are on the look out for players who want to represent Chester City F.C in a supporterÂ’s team
We currently have a growing squad full of Chester fans from Deva Chat and lads who we have met at games, we are always looking for new additions to the squad. We train twice weekly usually on a Tuesday and a Sunday (at Blacon High School and Westminster Park respectively) and we are now looking forward to a fixture in June before we train and take a break over the summer before embarking on more fixtures over next season.
All we ask is that you are a fan, who wants to play football. Feel free to post here or contact me if you want to attend a training session and I will give you more details.
Cheers
Phill

What if they support another team but are still a member of DevaChat?

Well, to me it is Deva Chat FC with an emphasis on Chester City supporters. Make of that what you will. What we want to avoid, though, is what happened with the last Deva Chat FC.

To clarify ANY Deva Chat member may train with us, although it will be made crystal clear that Chester City supporters will ALWAYS be selected ahead of them whether the non-supporters ability is better or not!

I'll be more than happy to throw my name in the hat as a potential player, as its time I got back into playing after a break from the Sunday League. Although I can hold my own to a decent standard (I hope!) in any position on the park, favourable is either goalkeeper or left/right back which are the 3 positions I played in regularly.
After chatting with Mancot last weekend, I would be able to make Sunday training although not weekdays due to work commitments. I also have work for the next 2 weekends but after that will be free to attend training - if its OK with everyone, I'll arrange through Mancot my attendance.
And just to clarify, I am a Chester City fan of 26 years, and a devachat member obviously!

Just to clarify......Titch used to be a Werb's player but gave it up to play for AFC.

Yeah Titch quit Werb's early last season as he wanted to concentrate on playing for AFC but was given a Chester Sunday Section C winners trophy this April for his service to them over the years.
It's funny actually cos I got a lot of criticism at the time for attracting the likes of Ash, Titch and Matty E to AFC as they were not 'died the wool' City fans but Ash now has a City shirt, is planning on going to Chester games home and away next season, Titch managed to get away from his family commitments and attend his first City game in years this season and Matty E is now to found on the North Terrace standing with Hez at most games.
Anyhow, I'll leave you guys to get on with things. Good luck for the future, I wish you every success.

Would it be possible to join after the new season has started? as until september i wont know what my uni timetable is going to look like for the following year and as i have to fit a job around uni i wont know what days i will be free until i see the timetable.
Also should probably get a doctor to have a look at the massive dent/hole in my shin bone that i picked up last time i played footy before i go throwing myself into some crunching tackles again

I'm tempted. Not sure what level of commitment I'll be able to give though as looks like I'll be playing reguarly on a Saturday as well as a Sunday next season and can't make the Northwich game as I'm playing in a futsal tournament.
Will training be down on the high school every week? I might pop down for a knock next week as I only live round the corner.
Phill - are you planning on entering a league or keeping things a bit more informal during the first season? PM if you wish bud.
