by Port Vale, who are in need of short-term goalkeeping cover.

Not good news, but I wasn't that impressed with him on Saturday. The sun probably didn't help, but he didn't inspire any confidence.

I’m gutted to see Sam go but understand given the circumstances. I thought that he did well in his spell here and hope that he can gain some first team football at Port Vale. Hopefully now it will be a good chance to see Andy Firth in action. Good luck for the rest of your career Sam Hornby!

See he got into the Port Vale team for the last 5 games of the season after being sub a few times.

We’ve done ok with loan keepers this season, despite the number of goals we’ve conceded. Wonder if we’ll get a long term loanee next year?

Port Vale Survive, Barnet and Chesterfield relegated, remember that keeper we had on loan from Chesterfield a few years ago about 7 foot tall and saved loads of penalties now that's the type of keeper we need next year .
