Well done to John for an absolutely fantastic and professional looking re-fit to the changing room.

I know he has had his doubters but the work really looks first rate and the changing rooms look really fantastic.

So once again, well done to John NEEDHAM for doing all that work free of charge.

(Some would have you believe it was all McCarthy's doing)

I know others who have done things for the club and barely got any recognition for it, which has cheesed them off big time to the point where they have taken a step back. Not good, really.

And before anyone asks, it's not for me to name names, they are quite capable of fighting their own corner if they want to.

I can't believe he would be expected to make them as well, I just don't get this vitriol against a decent man, no matter what he did as a manager.
Jon spent long hours every working hard for this football club, nobody could deny his commitment, I, and I know there are lot of people at the Football who feel exactly the same.

The jazzing up of the dressing rooms really did the trick with making a better environment for our players and spur them on to do better on the pitch didn't it?

Do you think the club were right to give Mcarthy the sack?

That post just illustrates how little you know about what goes on at our football club.
The club, in its different ways is trying to be more professional.
Let me ask you a question, as a player, would you not prefer the dressing room to be as it is now, or how it was?
It's totally irrelevant, what my opinion is about Jon McCarthys sacking, that got nothing to do with this post.
But you know who I am, you can always discuss it with me personally! rolleyes.gif

But... you praised Jon McCarthy for his work getting the changing room looking more professional when in fact it was down to the hard work - free of charge - of a club volunteer.

To be perfectly honest if I was a player would I be really bothered how it looks in there? I'm just using it as a point to get changed into my playing gear. Could be made of solid gold for all I care, it's not going to make me play better. The factors that matter are, preparation, fitness, and ensuring I am in the right frame of mind and fully focused.

Just my opinion of course

You can have them made of walnut and a bath full of asses milk if you like, but it doesn't make a blind bit of difference if the man pulling the strings ain't got a bloody clue what he is doing with the players in there.
Thank god we now have a manager who knows where to play people in their right positions, which is a massive leap forward from where we were.

A yes or no would have been suffice.

An answer to your question. I couldn't give two hoots if I had to get changed in the car park before a match.

On another topic, nice to see Marcus bignot do something on his first match what mcarthy FAILED to do in 9 MONTHS!

No disrespect to NFBF and all the other volunteers who seem to take pride in being friendly with whoever our manager is,
but leave this guy alone and let him concentrate on the important thing ie, results on the pitch. Talking to the senior blues is a good thing
but doesn't put points on the board and neither does making the dressing room pretty! Let the guy manage

Out of interest, was it expensive?
