After McCarthy's sacking on Wednesday, now our attention turns to our match against Ebbsfleet tomorrow, overseen by Tom Shaw, Dave Felgate and Calum McIntyre. It's a great chance for everyone to come down to the ground, support the team throughout and hopefully help us to achieve that win. Although Ebbsfleet are unbeaten, we have quite a decent chance of doing so tomorrow, hopefully with a different style of play. I just have that feeling that we may win at home. Come On You Blues!
Score: Chester FC (Hannah) 1-0 Ebbsfleet United
Attendance: 1,775 (102 Ebbsfleet)
COYB!

Just like any other team in this league ,they are there to be beaten . Our only possible problem is if the players arent fit enough to last 90 mins .They need to work harder to get fit

At the end of last season I noticed our players didn't seem to be as fit as other teams and we lost a lot of games in the last ten minutes.

I remember the last time we played them. Let's hope the attendance is better today.

First task for Tom Shaw is to get some defensive pace into the team. In bringing in McCombe to join Astles Macca combined 2 central defenders with not much speed. He did the same in midfield with James and Turnbull. Shaw himself needs to come back in or move Dawson into the middle. Playing Joyce just compounds the problem.
Waters on the left of midfield with Mahon on the right might also help.
Can he also do some work on tackling, we seem to have so many players easily brushed off in a tackle? Jordan Chappell never seems to want to get goal side of anyone when the other team have the ball .

Due to clear, no chance of it being called off. At least they won't need the sprinklers!

As stated has poured down for hours in Chester, and not due to clear until late afternoon. Hope the sparkling new surface can take it. Hopefully all will be fine.

Don’t forget to pick up a commemorative copy of ‘The Cestrian’ programme as the club celebrates 25 years at the Deva Stadium. The cost is £2.50.
