Before the season's false start to the season at Solihull I thought we might have a season similar to our only half
decent season when we finished 12th and had a modest cup run. After our poor start that has evaporated. It feels
like a relegation battle now. We are now in our worst ever position with home form having gone the longest ever
period without a home win. What do other Deva Chatters think?

It'll take 10-12 games before the prospects are clear. Might as well enjoy the ride until then. biggrin.gif

He's got 3 games left, and 6 points to get from those 9 on offer. I don't expect anything from Aldershot away, but we must win on Monday and win at a very poor Torquay side after that.

If we fail to win one of the next 3 he's gone.

Agreed. This is exactly what I've been saying. 0 wins out of 7 and it would be unforgivable & borderline reckless not to sack him. Paul Cox or Marcus Bignot for me as the replacement (when he gets 1 point out of the next 3 matches).

According to A View From The Outs, Paul Cox may be on his way to Torquay from Barrow (having quit today) and we all know what that means.

It's amazing to think BD that you can think that, knowing that our budget is one of the lowest in the League.
I would really have to consider whether I could support a football club that would employ a manager with the tactics of Paul Cox.

I think we have got into a catch 22 situation where because we under performed in our first season our attendances have dropped ,giving the club less money to spend on the playing staff . I still believe we should be pushing for a place in the top half of the league given that the budget has supposedly been increased this season . Also.having one of the smaller budgets doesnt excuse a game plan that has sent people running for the exits .

Still think we will improve but how quickly depends on tactics injuries and commitment!

Thats 3 problems that need solving ,2 of which are down to J.M. And he isnt showing any signs that he will change . We also seem to have a tendency to sign players with injury problems

Well if he doesn't improve us quickly enough there's only one option I'm afraid.

A season is a long time, a lot can happen. I just try to take it one game at a time and hope we win the next one cityscarf.gif

I would be happy with a mid table finish and a cup run
