just wish for once mccarthy would change his tactics and play football through the midfield
we do have people who are comfortable on the ball in that area and it might just fool the opposition because lets face it are tactics are pretty basic ,not holding my breath though
expect the game to be tight and not pretty gladly take a point right now
safe journey to all blues travelling down today kudos to all of you cityscarf.gif

A point isnt really good enough for me personally .Weve drawn two games so we need a win tonight To appease the fans . If we dont win the pressure on J.M will increase

And then it will increase further on Saturday with the visit of a big physical Sutton side. Can't see us getting anything out of that one either.

Hats off to all who have travelled. I'll settle for a point away from home.

A point is ok, but from the sound of it another very poor performance. Lucky goal then backs to the wall all game, its going to be a long season this.

Just back, there was a lot of positives from that game, although Hartlepool hit the bar several times, they were a poor side and will struggle in this league, if we could play more attacking football we would be winning these games, we are essentially a good team, I remember an old morcambe and wise gag where Eric plays the piano awfully , and he remarks that he's playing all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order, and that is how I'd sum us up at the moment, we've got all the right ingredients, we're just not putting them together correctly

So to use your summary, if the four times they hit the bar had gone in, because basically we are talking inches here, we would have been beaten 4-1 by a poor side, who will struggle in this league. Yet essentially we are a good team.

That makes about as much sense as McCarthy's use of Akintunde.

Seems that way although if the board showed a bit of savvy I do think the situation can still be rescued (like it should have been back in March).
