has any one else noticed that its only after we make our substitutions that we lose games,
and when we have a throw in we allways give the ball away and yet when the other team has a throw in we let them have all the time and space in the world.
And have we scored from a free kick this season ?

I agree, but it's only a fraction of McCarthy's inability to carry out SWOT analyses.

He's still not worked out that when Astles and Hughes partner up in central defence up we don't concede. It shows how poor Eastleigh were that they only scored one with Hudson there on Saturday. The only time Sam and Ryan partnered up this year was at Southport and surprise surprise we didn't concede.

There absolutely no reason why we can't go with a flat back 4 of Vassell, Astles Hughes and Hunt tomorrow in a 442. Pity we've only got one striker though. I'd rather give one of those youth team players a go (Brown or ap whatsisname) than 3/10 Richards.

We actually conceded the goal when Hughes was partnering Astles in a back four.Hudson had been substituted.

If only Hudson had been there... wink.gif

Bit like the Tranmere game, got done by a last gasp goal. It happens. Overall we were quite solid without looking threatening against Eastleigh. Just wish we had their budget...
