As one of the mods favorite posters on this board (maybe one of the only posters left😉) I thought I would keep the old girls flag flying with a match day thread ,I'm going for a 2-1 defeat with Alibi scoring,1,766 in the congregation with 44 from Eastleigh

Been a while since I posted but I'd say.

3-1 to Chester. Half time 2-0. Scorers Astles, Alabi x 2. Eastleigh bring 23 plus the tethering of a dog outside.

To be honest after recent games I just don't know.

We need a win, a loss will mean relegation is still a possibility as others below us continue to pick up points and players!

Been drizzling most of the day, and a wet pitch is a great leveller. Think we'll edge it 2-1 cityscarf.gif

yes I saw how tight things could become after what seemed like a safe season. Couple of wins required quickly to prevent a scrap at the bottom as usual

Demand a recount!

Not much of a game, had 0-0 written all over it. Apart from us giving away the ball from our throw-in right at the end and conceding a soft corner as a result, it would have been too sad.gif

Our only saving grace at the moment is that we are a team with a positive goal difference surrounded in the Vanorama National league by teams with negative goal differences and that we have two games in hand. But these statistics will not save us. We need someone like a Mr Sharpes to arrive and help out because we are obviously in deep trouble and have been with performances since he left and since Christmas. And falling gates is now a real worry for the additional financial side to add to our worries. Things have to change for the better. And a divided Deva Chat doesn't help either.

Very disappointing game to watch, no passion and no hunger. Far to many players out for a jog for my liking. Way ward passing and little running off the ball and on to the next ball.
No chasing the 2nd ball.
Kane, has definitely lost his confidence and is nothing like the player we seen at the end of last season, we are a one track pony up front and so predictable. Dawson was a battler but for every one decent pass there was 2 poor ones.

Lynch's kicking was woeful

Thought the lads at the back had an alright performance.

Eastleigh, looked out of shape with a few warhorses in their team, not the best team i have seen here, a team we would of bed pre Christmas

Sat off the ball to much.

I thought a draw would have been fair. It was obviously what Eastleigh came for, as they scored with virtually their only chance. They definitely improved when Tubbs went off. We are very limited in resources and it showed in that game. We are desparate for attacking options. On the plus side, Dawson looks like good addition and hopefully we might see the back of Luke George.

Agree a draw would have been fair but we could not manage one. Agree about the attacking options as well with three players out for the season.

Unless we can win one of our next three games we are in a serious relegation battle. I think Southport and North Ferriby are down and sadly for us we still have to play York, Woking and Torquay who are competing with Maidstone for the other two places at the moment.

These potential six pointers makes us very vulnerable to a surge in form from some of those below us and after our recent run our confidence must be ebbing away at a rapid rate.
