For us southerners hopefully Ebbsfleet and good to see Sutton Utd are in Conference next season, though I thought they were a pub team.

Might check out the Whitehawk - Ebbsfleet game on Wednesday.
About as local as I can get if Whitehawk go up. They are on a terrific run of form.

Truro away on a Tuesday night would be the ultimate hardcore trip.

Truro are currently playing 85 miles away in Torquay, which is already the hardcore trip on a Tuesday night.

Some good Southern seaside aways in there though.

I'll take Harrogate out of the Nothern lot we don't want another bloated small club in this league.

I've always considered Sutton a fairly decent-sized non-league club, although that's probably because the first giantkilling I remember being aware of when I was a kid was them knocking Coventry out of the FA Cup.

I doff my cap to any away fans attending fixtures between Gateshead and Truro.

Barrow to Truro is another bad one. 7 hours by car and 420 miles.

Gateshead to Truro takes 7.5 hours by car and is 450 miles.

If either of these clubs have a Hipkiss for an evening kickoff they'd need to leave about 10.30am and would return about 5am the following day. bowdown.gif

Truro have run out of a steam a little as the season has drawn to a close. Whitehawk seem like the team in form. Fancy either them or Maidstone from the South. Sure to be Boston from the North. To be fair we've been unfortunate in some ways that 3 local-ish games have been lost with Halifax, Alty and Kiddy relegated.

Whitehawk is in the a**e end of Brighton. No pubs nearby and an awful ground. Home crowds less than 200.
They are in the process of trying to change their name to the rather unimaginative Brighton City but facing opposition from Albion, who presumably think their own fans are too stupid to tell the difference. Whitehawk are also keen to play their games at the Withdean which some Blues will remember. On this they are facing opposition from residents. Wouldn't be surprised if they went up - got distracted by their cup run and went on an awful run and sacked their manager - then won almost everything in the run in. On Saturday they won 3-0 away at Hemel who were also vying for the last play off spot.

Sutton Utd have been getting crowds on a par with us, in terms of numbers.

But the ground is a bit of a dump. Still, looking forward to a visit next season. A ground I can get the bus to! guiness.gif

Take away the 3142 for the title decider against Ebbsfleet two weeks ago and their average for the season is 938.
It's Maidstone who are on a par with us - 2208 compared to our 2199.

There are two Sutton Uniteds and one is a pub team but not this one. I seem to remember them playing Leeds United in the cup.

As much as relegation would have been horrible and dont think for one second i would prefer it if we were in the conference north - next years conference premier is going to be woeful for away games and supporters Wrexham and Tranmere aside, particularly if we lose grimsby. York will be a nice new away day i suppose.

Conference north is shaping up to have some really interesting games and i wouldnt be surprised to see some high attendances.
