It sounds like we're speaking to lots of players but these players are then deciding to go elsewhere. I assume that can only be due to the money on offer. I beginning to concern me that every other club has made at least one signing - other than us, and that our main rivals are signing proven Conference players, the type of which we require. Just hope Steve has some tricks up his sleeve and that we're not left with the scraps.

Steve Burr was on holiday until yesterday. A lot of players are still contracted up until the end of May with a large portion of them being away on their holidays before the season starts. Not time to panic just yet. We also have the stability of signing on players from last season that has been unheard of in recent history so realistically we have signed players on for next season.

This. What's the Rush? There are literally hundreds of footballers available. NY did his business early doors, two years ago, and we know what a disaster that was.

It works both ways. Yes we are missing out but there will be other players currently waiting to try to get a league club who don't get fixed up. They will come on the market and find that some teams have used up budgets. No need to panic in May

well not worth panicking yet , he's probably already put in an offer for a few players he's had his eye on, and they are probably holding out for better offers like most do. i just hope our budget is big enough(with the extra 10%) for him not to go to deep searching in the lower leagues now we have a platform of players to build on...we need a bit more experience here than we did last year as our inconstancy was way off target where we wanted it to be, and if SB can supplement that with a few more good loan signings i think we should push on a bit further next season...

See 9 from the under 21s at Stoke have been released - Ben Henegan must know these lads, wouldn't be surprised if one poss two end up here.

Tomi Adeloye, James Alabi, Sam Coulson, Alex Grant, Robbie Parry, Nathan Ricketts-Hopkinson, Adam Thomas, Charlie Ward, Elliot Wheeler

Good shout, this is where endorsements from the likes of Ben, who clearly enjoys playing for us, may come in useful.

We may not be able to offer megabucks, but we're a well-supported, well-run club and we play good football. If you're serious about your career, we're a better option than being fifth choice striker for a bankrolled club playing in front of 700 fans, surely?

IF he could apply himself to this level he would soon be off to play in league 1 (where he belongs). Should be in his prime right now, so really wherever he goes it will be the 'last chance saloon' but got to be worth a shout?

With the baggage he carries, I can't imagine there will be a queue of clubs wanting to sign him.
