They may as well have derided the fans for meeting in "Bingo 'Alls". It is all so familiar, the same old bull that was put out in our dying days and the same for Northwich.
I mean, fans running their own club? Something like that is just not feasible ![]() This post has been edited by Victor Meldrew: Jul 24 2014, 10:30 PM |

Latest update from the Southern Bob A Job League or whatever it is called:
http://www.southern-football-league.co.uk/...league-chairman 28 July 2014 After a very difficult few weeks for both League and club officials, I am pleased to confirm that Hereford United Football Club has transferred appropriate funds to all known Football Creditors apart from a few who have not, as yet, notified officials of their required details. However, the amount covering these outstanding payments has been deposited in the account of a third party. Consequently, subject to receiving confirmation of receipt of all the amounts transferred and also subject to any actions taken by other authorities outside the control of the League, Hereford United (1939) Ltd will remain in membership of the Southern League and the Registrations Embargo placed on the club on 30 June will be lifted. While fully appreciating the feelings of the club’s supporters, I have been extremely disappointed at the content of some of the emails which have been, to say the least, not only ill informed but abusive with a number bordering on libellous. Despite opinions to the contrary, the League has held the upper hand throughout and, operating within the Rules of the Competition, has been fully in control of the situation which has seen it achieve one of its main objectives to ensure that those Football Creditors owed money by the previous regime at the club received what was due to them. Expulsion of the club at any time during the process would have undoubtedly led to its liquidation and, with it, any chance of these debts ever being settled. That said, the same supporters who criticised the non-payment of creditors seemed quite comfortable with the prospect of rekindling a debt free club from the embers without giving a second thought to the same creditors who would have remained unpaid! I would like to express the thanks of the Board to League Secretary, Jason Mills, who, together with officials of the Club, worked tirelessly to achieve a satisfactory outcome to a situation which was not of any of their making. Ken Turner Chairman Bunch of clowns - they make Sepp Blatter look clean don't they! I love the part about the emails from fans. The fact is that the SL have accepted Agombar FC when both the Conference Prem and SPL didn't because Agombar despite many public promises failed to pay the creditors. And you really have to ask yourself, why would Agombay pay creditors to stay in that league, when he could have done it a few weeks ago and been in the Conference? It doesn't make sense, except it does. Run the club into the ground, show the council that there is no support anymore for a football club that happens to be built right in the centre of town, and all of a sudden it opens up the possibility for Agombar and his 'friends' to take the leases and bulldoze the ground for redevelopment. I just hope that it blows up in the faces of Mills and Turner who have shown themselves to be as rotten to the core as Agombar and the other scumbags currently occupying HUFC. -------------------- "The socialism I believe in is everyone working for each other, everyone having a share of the rewards. Oh dear, the shambles continues. From Hereford Times -
HEREFORD United have still failed to be granted a safety certificate for their Edgar Street ground - four days before the start of the season. Club bosses met with Herefordshire Council this afternoon in a bid to get clearance to allow spectators to watch United's home matches. Yesterday, Hereford United's new chairman Andy Lonsdale told the Hereford Times the club had done 'all they could' to satisfy criteria for a new safety certificate for the stadium. And United have cancelled a home friendly against Herefordshire minnows Sinkums, scheduled for tomorrow night, due to 'unforeseen circumstances'. Today, the council was not satisfied that all the safety requirements have been met, and has adjourned the meeting until Thursday, just 48 hours before the club is due to entertain St Neots Town at Edgar Street. "Unfortunately, the council, police and fire service are not satisfied that all of the necessary statutory requirements have been met or that all of the relevant paperwork is in place," said Mike Pigrem, head of trading standards and licensing. "However, we are working closely with the club's newly appointed safety consultants as well as club representatives, in order to try and resolve the outstanding issues." |

I never thought I would see a club sink lower than Vaughan FC, but having kept myself regularly updated with the Bulls situation I can hand on heart say that they have been dragged even lower than we were. The Southern league are a disgrace for accepting Herefraud.
What is clear though is that hereford fans will ultimately prevail. It's going to take them a lot longer than us, but they will return. You can't just wipe out over a hundred years of history. We see that very clearly at the current time. The human spirit will prevail. -------------------- The Craig Revel-Horwood of non-league football forums - cheers Viv

It's hard to think of a worse situation than the old Chester City. But it's all unveiling at Hereford - just unbelieveable. How the football authorities are allowing this to happen is inexpicable - then again, perhaps not. Good luck to the true fans. I'm sure they will get there. -------------------- |

They have got their safety certificate. Only with a reduced capacity. From Bulls News - Some of Hereford United's Southern League rivals have queried the decision to open Edgar Street with a limited capacity. Southern League stadia need to have a capacity of 1,950 - leaving the Bulls well short of the accepted level under the current terms. Chesham United called it an 'interesting decision', which many others expressed surprise at the announcement. BN will again ask the Southern League for comment, but does not expect a reply as we haven't had one to any of our previous queries. Mike Pigrem, head of trading standards and licencing at Herefordshire Council, spoke to BBC Hereford and Worcester. "The game on Saturday can go ahead. "We had a second meeting this afternoon and the club managed to satisfy the local authority and its partner agencies that steps are in place to allow the game this Saturday allbeit with a limited allocation of spectators to one thousand. "The club has a number of areas it has to comply with, ranging from health and safety, fire risk assessments, structural reports for the terraces and the ground, marshalling plan, medical plans. "It can be quite complicated and quite involved. "There have been a number of issues. Some of these plans have fallen into disarray, some of them haven't been updated. "As the local authority that issues the general safety certificate we have to be satified that the appropriate measures are in place to ultimately ensure spectator and user safety. "It covers the whole range of whether it's the egress or the access, the emergency lighting, the tannoy, the PA system, all that sort of thing. "Although there are a number of stands within the ground, there are only two that will be in operation that's the Merton Stand and the Merton Terrace. "The actual limit (1000 spectators) was put forward by the safety consultants that were brought in by the club to get the paperwork in order and that's been expected by the local authority and the partner agencies. "The other stands are not being used because there are issues that need to be rectified before they can be brought back into use." Meanwhile BN understands that no season tickets have yet been sold by the club because they didn't know what the capacity would be. Agombar Withdraws From Fans Forum By Bobo After initially telling the press that Tommy Agombar would attend tomorrow's Fans Forum, Andy Lonsdale now says he will not be there. Lonsdale will attend with the previously unseen director pair of Elke Thuerlings and John Edwards, manager Jon Taylor and assistant-boss Neil Phelps. HUFC's estimated cashflow projection for the coming season suggests income of £1,033,900. Majority of HUFC creditors have voted to reject the proposed CVA put forward by the directors, next step probably winding up order courtesy of HMRC.

Amid rumours that their players have been told football training would soon be moved to Bedfont & Feltham FC's ground (Lonsdale's old club), any hopes of FA Cup glory were dashed after HUFC were beaten 3-2 in the first qualifying round by Ellistown & Ibstock United FC, who currently occupy 11th place in the East Midlands Counties League Premier Division. After the match another photograph surfaced of Agombar (who should have no involvement with the club) allegedly addressing the players. Meanwhile, Salisbury City FC's hopes of survival remain in limbo as the Judge again adjourns the attempt to remove Touzar's ownership of SCFC until October.
