Okay a bit of light relief from all the Hereford drama - what's been the worst view you've ever had
either watching the blues or any football match or sporting event in general.

For me watching the blues Shrewsbury away at the old stadium was always an awful view - went there
3 times and never saw a thing !!!

Here's a few pictures that'll take some beating for offering awful views

And the winner for a football match must go to -

Those seats are awful! They must be the worst ever, surely?

Quite like the cage. Looks like the "naughty cage" to me biggrin.gif

Salops away end was shocking when the fence went up.
Everton upper bullens and anfield rd upper are both bad.
But as most grounds now opt for cantilever the days of restricted views should be over

Commentated on the derby at the racecourse from their press area. Could not find a view that wasn't severely restricted. Pretty awful design as most grounds have their best, or at least a pretty good view from the press bit.

Also had a shocking view at Nunununeaton as I recall. Stood by the corner flag, huge blue post obstructing about a quarter of the pitch.

In other sports, rugby league at Hull Kr, standing a good pitch length away from the pitch itself. No idea what was going on up the other end.

I'm a season ticket holder at Sheffield Eagles RLFC and we've just moved to Owlerton stadium. The view is across a dog track and a speedway track. Absolutely awful from the main stand.

Season ticket holders have their own bar though, the Hare and Hounds which has a full glass front and the best view in the ground biggrin.gif

Shewsburys old place. Once had a ticket for the back row of the third tier of the North Stand at Old Trafford may as well of been sat in the Sky sports blimp your that high up. Goodison once had to sit with my legs eitehr side of a girder and couldnt see one of the penalty boxes.

I remember being caged in an enclosure at the League Cup game at Newcastle with Newcastle fans pointing their fingers through the bars and shouting "you're going to get your f"""""g heads kicked in" unsure.gif

A few votes for Shrewsbury on here, as well as my own - The picture below shows the away end there
with just a few people in it, and even then the view of the goal is awful. When Chester went, we filled
the end making the view even worse !!!!

The Gay Meadow as already mentioned and probably the worst place for me would be Edgar Street. By far the crappiest view anywhere I've been over the years. Absolute tip of an away end.

Its funny, I have a reoccuring dream that I turn up to a stadium, find my seat only to find that you cannot actually see the pitch from where you sit.

Things often get weird from there, including once ending up playing, and scoring, whilst holding a pint.

Another recocuring dream I have is that the old Stadium is still there and we move back in.

I think I need to see somebody.

Photo was took during the construction of the stand, doubt that seat was sold. There are restricted view seats in that stand but only due to the next phase of the ground redevelopment not going ahead.

As said above, Shrewsbury and Hereford were a ball ache. I went in the main stand at Luton and couldn't see one of the goals whilst the bloke next to me couldn't see the other goal and the person sitting at the end of the row couldn't see either goal! And had a fair few dodgy seats at Everton over the years.

Back row of the Holt End?? at Aston Villa's ground. Went there when 'England on Tour'.
Not so much restricted view, but needed binoculars!

My vote goes to the old Gay meadow aswell.

Even if you went in the block of seats down the side allocated to away fans, more than half way up a big pillar would badly restrict your view, there was no escape from a poor spec at Gay Meadow, like most old grounds though I suppose.

I remember Chester fans being put in a cage on the uncovered away end at the old Belle Vue Ground, Doncaster, it was p155 poor
and they had Middlesborough there previously. God knows how squashed their travelling hordes were.
