It would be nice to pay tribute to Neil Young. I suggest re-naming the Harry McNally stand either "The Harry McNally-Neil Young Stand" or "The Mcnally-Young Terrace."
One of the reasons for the addition of Neil's name to the McNally Terrace is that many of our younger fans don't know about Harry McNally.

One of our main problems is not quality of player (they are adequate for this level) but tactics. Too often our players move around like a swarm of bees. Take yesterday, for example. Hughes, who scored twice, was located by team members on the wing and was not covered by a defender. In other words they were open, and that leads to opening the defence.

Sifta, it would be great to name something after Neil Young but I personally don't think it would work to have two (great) names on one stand. I am sure we can honour Neil in some way and perhaps be brought up at the next CFU meeting to get more official support of it.

All Chester FC players between 2010-2013 should now collectively referred to as The Young Ones.

Think it should remain the Harry McNally terrace. I think we could find another way to honour NY (maybe rename the Blues Bar?), as Pauline says it would be a good point to raise at the next CFU meeting.

South stand is usually full of kids so The Young Stand would work.

I do too! It will give some focus in promoting the club to schools in the Community and maybe seat our youth teams too who are doing such a great job. It all adds to the goodwill in Chester and surrounding areas.

The south stand used to have kids in it every week, haven't seen any in there for ages.

Not being funny but it should never have stopped, you have to ask why did it stop?.
Why are there no kids in the South stand at games now, why do we have to wait and see in a couple of months.

Not sure who told you they were paid ridiculous sums to do so, but you are very much wrong there( for those who will ask, info from the horses mouth) they were paid a minimal amount which barely covered expenses.
Would be interested to know where you got the information that they were paid ridiculous sums to do said work from?? As I can verify my information

In your first enquiry you ask why there are no kids in the South Stand etc etc,you then appear to know how much the people tasked actually got paid on matchdays to administer it,how very odd ?,why ask questions when you knew the answers?.
The only discussion i can relate to is a previous thread stating as i have said that they were paid very well at a time that 95% of people involved on matchdays etc and during the week are volunteers.
It is obvious that the club fealt that paying them (not matter how much) that it was not cost effective.
If as you state you can verify the amount they recieved for some bizzare reason can you also verify that they would have continued to carry out the work on behalf of the club as volunteers ?.
If so then the club i am sure would appreciate their voluntary hours IF they agree to volunteer.

Name a stand after Neil Young, one after Gary Crosby and
one after Martin Nash, and the other can Still be the

Your first sentence doesn't even make sense!!
I never asked a question I stated that there hadn't been that many kids in the south stand this season which is correct!, and you stated the reason why to be that the people doing it were paid "ridiculous sums to do so" which is wrong.
The reason I know this is because I know the people who were doing this very well.
I can assure you for the 2 people making all the arrangements with the schools etc. the club paid far less than you think for their services. If you think it's that easy feel free to have a go!

I look forward to you filling the south stand with 100-200 school kids every week, supervising them and looking after them all as you obviously think it's very easy to do!

If so then the club i am sure would appreciate their voluntary hours IF they agree to volunteer.

No problem,i take it thats a no then, thought it might have been.
The volunteers i know very well put in far more hours foc.
