laugh.gif You little *bleepers* nicked our stand. I had thought I got there nice and early to erect our flag only to see it covered in bloomin' Chester flags. Not only that you had the cheek to cheer when I fell flat on my ass when collecting it at the end of the game! blink.gif

Nah, great set of fans. Well done with your victory. It seems we stepped down a few gears after the first goal and Michael Barnes didn't make much of an impact when he came on in the 2nd half. Kevin Townson was absent but looks to have recovered from his injury. Michael Stringfellow was expected to make a start but got held up in traffic and missed the start of the game. Back to the league campaign and in honest truth it is all I'm really interested in.

I expected a bit of arrogance from the Chester supporters tonight as was shown with Halifax Town's supporters when they visited us last season but you lot seemed very respectful and seemed up for the laugh. Much more respectful than the Chorley fans, especially Jue, after we had played them in the cup 2 weeks ago.

I was suprised by the result and by the sound of it Chester played really well. You should take a look at your thread on your forum, the score doesn't look right! biggrin.gif

Yes, nice ground, my first vist but will definately go again if they are playing at home and there is no chester game on given I'm local these days. I would say at a guess that the 281 was fairly even in terms of home/away fans or were there more of us?!

It'll be a tight squeeze in their social club in April!! Tidy ground, smaller than I expected though.

It was a dominant display by the blues, everyone played well. Howard was our MOM for me. Fylde only came to life at 3-0 so credit to our boys for keeping them at bay for so long. Very pleasant evening!

I still want out mate. Its a pointless cup game but to be honest, Chorley annoyed me last year and this year despite not being in the same league I still look out and hope you have been beaten. I can't lose tonight, lose the game and we are out the cup, win the game and we have beaten whats become the most annoying non league side I've known.

I'd of gladly bought you a pint tonight Reco, as you seem a decent bloke. Normally I'd wish you good luck for the rest of the season, but I really don't want that to happen and I hope Chester and Skem (now Lancaster can't make it) join us. You as a person though, all the best.

I asked a steward tonight and he said 1,800 but they had 1,900 in a pre season friendly versus ManUre.

Our ground is only temporary as you can see from the portable cabins which have been turned into a clubhouse and sponsorship lounge. We're looking to build a new ground into a Blue Square Premier/North standard. Perhaps our club can look into erecting a marquee again for our fixture which was done when we faced New Mills in a promotion-clincher 2 seasons ago.

Although you say it is temporary, it was quite a nice ground to visit. Enjoyed my visit from the moment I got to the car park, until I left. Very friendly ground, and thanks!

I'm the Colwyn fan who wrote that mate, I really do like non league football and have followed it the past 15 years or so. I have never come across a side like Chorley and how they are behaving right now and there sheer arrogance and disregard for other non league sides and their supporters. I want them to fail so badly, in fact more so than you do!!

Fylde seem to be missing Townson since his injury.

Will he be with you all season, or will be off to play in Australia again

Back to the league campaign and in honest truth it is all I'm really interested in.

I expected a bit of arrogance from the Chester supporters tonight as was shown with Halifax Town's supporters when they visited us last season but you lot seemed very respectful and seemed up for the laugh. Much more respectful than the Chorley fans, especially Jue, after we had played them in the cup 2 weeks ago.

So what was the 2022 for again biggrin.gif I never touched you remember? .

Ah so it was you ya git laugh.gif For those that don't already know, the year 2022 is the year we aim to reach the football league by hence the flag and also the number "2022" on the sleeves of our shirts. Whether it will happen or not is another thing unsure.gif

There are some Chorley fans that are complete knobs, arrogant and disrespectful who felt necessary to rip into our fans and club as we didn't match their numbers in the Challenge cup. Completely different to last season where they were very respectful. Last season Chorley's average support was only 10 higher than us and 1 place above us in the attendance league. All of a sudden it rocketed to 500+. Alot of them are plastics and if Chorley fail this season or finish outside the playoffs their support will decrease hugely.

Kirkham Wesham

Fylde seem to be missing Townson since his injury.

Will he be with you all season, or will be off to play in Australia again

I saw Kevin Townson kicking the ball at before the game so it seems he's returning from injury but wasn't worth risking him so soon in the cup. He's signed a permanent contract with us so I don't believe he has plans to return to Australia anytime soon.

The club has developed links with the University of Central Lancashire and have allowed students to film all of our home fixtures. DVD's will eventually be made and is said to be on sale soon at the new club shop in Kirkham.

Ah right, I must admit to chuckling when the sign going in to the ground said something along the lines of watching your language as the games are filmed, yet the camera is set right by the dug outs which is where most of the bad language comes from! biggrin.gif
