Early days I know but the guy looks class.
Skillfull, quick, strong and he always looks for the ball. I watched him for 2 or 3 minutes straight after he came on and he's all over the pitch wanting the ball, looking for space, pinging passes.
Another inspired signing by NY and will keep Wilson and Wilde on their toes. I could actually see him sitting just behind a front one or two and creating chances for others as well as banging in a load for himself.

Can't believe how good we are looking after so many years of dross, I love football again.

Until Sarcevic goes, McCarthy creates a nice problem for Young. Who do you drop? McCarthy has to start I think, he's got the potential to make a massive difference for us every game. Leaving him on the bench for the next month seems crazy to me, he's just that good.

He does look like he's got abit of class about him and to think that he's only been playing sunday league football until recently. I think Hopley is going to have his work cut out getting his place back.

I think his goal was very much the same as Nasri's goal for Arsenal today

Jimmy's goal was a tremendous finish - 2 dummies and it looked like he was going to be the dummy that ran out of space...but no. outside of the foot cheeky chip - a touch of class bowdown.gif

he looked class on wednesday and he showed it again today in the short amount of time he was on the pitch. he's going to give NY a right selection headache as none of the front 4 (howard, wilde, wilson, sarcevic) deserve to be dropped. i think he will be a bit player until Sarcevic returns to crewe but until then he is a cracking player to have come off the bench.

For sheer trickery, skill and confidence that goal was one of the best i've seen, everyone wanted him to shoot earlier, but he kept his composure and showed the fans his class. bowdown.gif cityscarf.gif

Ok cheers anyway cityscarf.gif Getting back to JM i think the lad has settled very quick and the fans have helped with that ive messaged him a couple of times on twitter and he seems a real nice bloke his comments today JimmyMccarthy23 Jimmy McCarthy
Best fans going!
So that will help boost his confidence and i agree its going to give NY a headache but we need annother strong confident striker like him tbh if injuries kick in.
So if it was me and i maybe wrong and plz tell me if i am if i was NY i woud rotate them and give Jimmy mac atleast 30 mins a game and that will also help to rest wilde and wilson and keep them fresh.
If one is having a bad game get him on sooner because the last thing we want is him loosing his spark and hunger sat on the bench to long or even his fitness cityscarf.gif

Simply one of the best finishes i have seen at the deva, when you consider its the lads first game, surely just stroke the ball home? oh no, how cocky is this lad, love him.
