The programme editors also managed to cock up the names and captions against the photos for the match and matchball sponsors for the Leeds game.

"Also former City great, Roger Granville, from the 1974 Blues side handed out the man-of-match award, a bottle of champaign, on behalf of the match day sponsors..."

The photos actually included one of Roger Glanville, a Chester fan, presenting a bottle of champagne to Damien Mosika (not sure about this as the text spelt Mosika and the teamsheet on the back page says Mozika!

Another photo showed Grenville Millington holding the signed football given to matchball sponsors GPS Decorators Limited and Chester City Supporters Trust.

How the hell did they cock up a simple thing like that?

The list of club staff on page 3 shows Assistant Manager as Huw Griffiths, two of the three Website Editors named haven't had anything to do with the OWS since 14th March 2008 rolleyes.gif

Just a touch unprofessional for £2.50, I thought, but there's plenty more chances to get it right, I suppose...

The programme is much improved from last season. There's actually interesting interviews in it this time around.

Fair play to Ian Chevaux and the new design team! Much better than last year's.

i feel cheated out of my £2.50 now. if i wanted a book full of correct spellings i'd buy a dictionary, if i want a flimsy magazine with good interviews and pictures about the team i support then i will buy a programme, even if it isn't perfect.

It sounds rather amateurish, and there will be those who say that it doesn't matter. Well it DOES matter. It is sloppy, and shows disrespect to those named if you can't bother to spell their names correctly. It also shows a level of contempt for people who fork out £2.50 for the programme.

You would think so, wouldn't you?

Are you sure it's not you, Mancot, because you have managed to spell the guy's name wrong as well! It's Ian Cheveau (as taken from the programme if indeed he's managed to spell his own name correctly)

The programme publishers are a so-called professional organisation called IMC Sports Co Ltd - I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole for my business. They aren't good enough.

CCFC are obviously happy enough with the product they receive. I don't believe its value for money personally.

Now the club has probably the worst club OWS together with an amateurish programme and some fans are happy with that - I'm not

Perhaps the new programme editor has lost the ability to spell, from say a bump to the head.
A bucket of bricks falling from scaffolding,or misjudging a bouncer whilst playing cricket, usually though a good t**tting with a microphone does the trick.
