Breaking News

Chester City Football Club has recently entered into negotiations with Sports 6 regarding the sale of Stephen Vaughan's shares.

The negotiations, which were subject to a confidentiality agreement, have been leaked through Deva Chat, a fans message board.

In light of current events at the club, it is felt that the interest shown by Sports 6 should be confirmed by Chester City Football Club

Ah, I see. Now that the OWS has announced it, does it mean we can revert back to free speech please?

I'm sorry but as much as I admire the guy, I think it was wrong for Bear to leak this news. Any business transaction of this nature has to be treated in the strictest secrecy if it hopes to succeed and leaking it may have jeopardised the chances of a successful outcome. The mods were quite right to pull the plug on the thread although I must admit I had to see the post before I could appreciate their doing so.

I would imagine that when Bear leaked that information he did so because he had just been shafted on a deal he had done to take an equal majority shareholding in Chester City FC. If you had paid the deposit and shook on the deal, how would you feel?

But why? Backed by venture capitalists - long name for getting loans against CCFC? I do not pretend to know alot about business matters but to get these sort of people involved surely they (sports 6) must have both a sound business plan and 2 some money to back it up. After all these venture capitalists are only in it for one thing, money. If it all goes tits up there is nothing really at CCFC to pay any investment back - as SV might be finding now.

Only that he is a player agent now and he used to play Rugby for New Brighton! There was another link to a site saying something like "Everton's new Commercial Director Alastair Saverimutto", this was 2004/05
