Clearing water from the pitch at Shots today.
Suggest anyone thinking of travelling keeps an eye on the forecast and Shots website.
Sunny and blustery with a few showers down south today but we've had a lot of rain at the start of the week. Looks OK tomorrow but more rain forecast on Saturday.

Hurrah! Thanks for this. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for tomorrow.

Incidentally if the match is on I will have copies of the latest copy of Blue & White fanzine (Issue 14 price £2) to sell tomorrow if any Exiles haven't got a copy. I should be in the pub La Fontaine before the match.

See some of you there! cityscarf.gif

I see they've asked for volunteers to remove their pitch covers from 10am tomorrow. So I assume we won't know before 10am.

Yep, Chelsea Reserves play on their pitch, so it's treated well. It's rained or drizzled most of the day here in Wimbledon. I still think it'll be on, as long as we don't get the monumental rainfall we had in these parts in the early hours of Thursday.

I hope it's on as I've seen 7 games so far this season without a single win for Chester, and I'm confident of breaking my duck tomorrow. cityscarf.gif

Yes the pitch is actually the former Stamford Bridge pitch - it was moved when they returfed Stamford Bridge before the start of last season.

Pity they didn't have their away stand as well.

Dilemma...do I stay or do I go.....4 hour round drive...rain, cold, expense. Was going to meet son there, who has flu...we are deliberating.....
Any sane person would not......the madness of football may convince me to leave...

I haven't fared much better, just 4 matches, won 0, drawn 1, lost 3 F2 A10. One point from twelve. My boy hasn't seen us score in the three I took him to. However, the last match I saw Chester win at was at Aldershot at the end of last season, so I am taking that as a positive omen.

Yes met my son there-he from London, me from Bath. He was trying to work out when we last saw them win!
