Why did you get slagged? For being proud of a large part of this clubs history? angry.gif

Maybe some prefer the soulless Chester City of today but i certainly dont. That move to Macc and leaving sealand road killed off a whole chunk of this club and if a couple of things were to happen to get things going in the right direction again then this would be one of them for me...that and Harry Mac being properly recognised in some major way.

Its funny how things change with time;i remember a LOT of Chester Supporters who hated the name "The Seals" and the emblem with two Seals on it;(designed by a student at Chester College for a competition "Give the Football Club a new logo and nickname") I have no strong feelings either way. huh.gif

Seeing that we no longer play at SEALand Road I don't see the point of changing it back. Lets not forget, this isn't the historic nickname of the club, it was a sort of gimmicky 1970's thing. It was a bit of fun at the time but like I say, would not make much sense now. I agree with the comments about having Harry Mac. honoured though...

Fair comment.
I just get tired of the lack of identity that the club has at the minute. You used to feel part of something at Sealand Road but as i have said time and time again it is all just so soulles now.
The Seals at the end of the day would at least pay homage to the old stadium in some small way.Maybe we need a different one again?i dont know...but i do know we need something.
As for Harry Mac well i just hope something is in the pipeline...its about bleedin time bowdown.gif

The club refuse to recognise the legend that is Harry McNally. Anything pre-Vaughan will not be entertained.

As many of you have said the Club Nickname of The Blues is very boring also there are several other clubs that use the same nickname therefore it does not instantly identify us. I have to say The Seals was very much of a time and a place and also has no relevance to Chester City in the modern era.

However there probally is one nickname that we could adopt that would identify the Club and the City to the world and will stick with us for ever and a day.

What do you think of "The Cestrians"?

Hello bear.
At least it would maybe recognise the old stadium, our home which served us proudly for so long?
And as Angel said the area is Sealand. To be honest its probably as good as anything and may just restore some soul for those who gave it all up after that judas bas@@rd Barnes.
So for me.....SSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLSSSSSSSSS citysign.GIF
