from a lincoln fan here
slowed down at 1/4 speed around 13:45 you can see their penalty incident.
I'll leave it to the Devachat jury to decide if that was a pen or not rolleyes.gif

I agree never a pen

never a penalty in a million years. Not going to comment on Seddon red card, except that we should have had a free kick for the fact that reed got clattered into after he won his header which led to that!

Never a pen in a million years! There was no way their player would have got anywhere near it.

As the Lincoln fan said himself ' always better when the ref's on our side'. The ref was a cheat full stop. Not sure about the Seddon sending off but the the high tackle on Jarrett was a red all day, their penalty was a joke, our penalty was soft to say the least, the continuous niggles and fouls by Lincoln went unpunished and ruined the game. How much does a ref cost? Might be cheaper than buying players rolleyes.gif

In all seriousness, recent referee performances at the deva have made me consider whether match fixing from officials occurs at our level. I mean surely they can't be that bad can they?

Quite Agree. What a self satisfied, smug individual.

My guess is that most Lincoln City fans will be glad when he goes to watch the Ice Hockey.

Funnily enough I'd text my mate at half time saying the referee was a match fixing candidate.
Then 1st minute of the 2nd half he gave them that penalty!

In all seriousness, it's got to the stage where you wonder whether it's worth bothering to go down anymore. The officials are that bad (or bent). The best team should win. Not the one that cheats, or gets the dodgy decisions.

That isn't saying we're hard done to every week. I think we bring on most problems ourselves. You tend to find you get loads of bookings etc when you're not quite good enough to play at that level and are always struggling. We're asking kids to be physical in a dirty league, where the teams are well coached and know how to cheat.

You get booked for kicking the ball away, or 'showing dissent', but not even get booked for a two footed challenge.

I thought the teams in the Evostick had more honesty about them. We're now stuck in a league where physique comes above ability, and cheating is common place. No wonder the crowds are rubbish in this league. Imagine watching Lincoln, Hereford etc every week. These thugs earn £40,000-£50,000++ a year too.

Funny you should say that i commented at the time on the fact when the players and officials were coming out for the second half i noticed there manager in deep conversation
with the referee who had his head down as they were talking,it may well be me but even before there penalty i was thinking there might be some shenanigins going on.
