Just as a follow up to the Dragonslayers e-mail, here's a list of the names that have declared their intention to be part of the Legends Night that was revealed in last night's meeting:

1960’s
Striker, Gary Talbot

1970’s
Goalkeeping great, Grenville Millington
Midfielder, Alan Tarbuck
Striker, John Thomas

1980’s
Goalkeeper, John Butcher
Defender & eventual physio, Joe Hinningan
Defender, Graham Abel
Midfielder, John Kelly
Midfielder, Brian Croft
Midfielder, Milton Graham
Midfielder, Graham Barrow
Striker, Gary Bennett

1990’s
Defender, Iain Jenkins
Midfielder, Chris Lightfoot
Midfielder, David Pugh
Striker, Andy Milner
Striker, Eddie Bishop
Manager, and eventual Manager, Graham Barrow

2000’s
Defender, Scott Guyett
Midfielder, and Championship lifting Paul Carden

The list does not end there, as I have a list of 30 ex-players that I'm still working on, and players mentioned above are contacting on my behalf, so this could prove to be one of the biggest re-unions of Chester players in recent memory.

Remember, it's a limited ticket event, so be quick to secure your tickets.

*please note that we cannot guarantee everyone on the list being there, as all will be subject to availability of course.

Can't wait for Eddie Bishop being let loose with the roving mike biggrin.gif

Seriosly though, Jeff, you've done a brilliant job with this list - even at this early stage. Going to be a sellout, I think

I want to be photographed with my hero, namely Gary Talbot bowdown.gif I spoke to him at the previous meeting and it was awesome. The photograph is going to take pride of place in my lounge.

Jeff! Is Chas Sumner intending to attend the Legends Night? It is an ideal opportunity for him to sign them up for his Ex- City Players Association. I don't think that Chas attended our Launch night, and unusually, I didn't see him at Barrow today? he normally goes to all games.

Yes, I believe he is going to the Legends Night, and as we've both discussed, it will be a great chance to build up the FPA that night for Chas, with a number of players attending.

Chas couldn't make the meeting the other night, otherwise I'm sure he would have been there.

Pretty sure I saw Chas at Barrow somewhere. Think he was stood on the corner of the terracing at half time.

I won't be able to be there (distance, work and all) but is there a method of donating a ticket price just so that I can say I nearly met Gary Talbot?

I nearly met Gary Talbot! I can see myself boring friends I haven't even met yet with that!
As for my current friends, I expect a downfall there but thank goodness none of them know of this place!

I nearly met Gary Talbot! Did I mention that!

We're currently working on getting an online method set up where you can donate any amount of money, it's one of our priorities as we look to build up the funds.

For now, you can still send cheques to City Fans United, PO Box 3170, Chester CH4 8WP

Was going to attend this with a few mates, wont be now Bennett is attending. rolleyes.gif

So 1 player in over 20 is going stop you going?

I know he's played for the goats since but don't forget those great times when he put winners past them too, plus he did come back to finish his career with us & not them!!

I grew up singing "Psycho Psycho", was up on the fence at the Racecourse when he scored the winner in the snow - and will delighted to see him at the Legends Night!

Plus having Bennett, Eddie Bishop & Ryan Lowe in the same room together - well we might as well tell the comedian he's not needed!

Go on change your mind mate, and have a beer with a Legend!

I can't forget when he mocked us when playing for US against Wr**h*m in The FA Cup in 1997, when he mocked us by holding 2 fingers up when they sang "Bennett whats the score"

Disgraceful and I'll never forget.

Strange.

Are you just looking for an excuse not to turn up and support the CFU, I wonder?

It's just his opinion, which he's fully entitled to.

The tickets are selling extremely well at present with almost half gone, not bad considering we've only been able to sell them at the Launch Night - hopefully once we get the online facility to pay, these will be snapped up in double quick time.

Picked up 4 from him yesterday. As they don't hold cash you'll need to take the right money.
