George's in Blacon, Sheradon in Vicars Cross & Sealand Road Fish & Chip Shop are all very good. They are all Cypriot owned and run to a very high standard in terms of hygiene.

Another cracker is the one in Tarvin run by Paul Pavlou. I haven't been for a while, but people tell me it's still really good.

Southview off Sealand Rd. If the same owners are still there it's the best chippy anywhere.

You mean Queensferry. And yes, the best chippie I've ever visited. Think it's still run by former Chester youth team player Giuseppe Angiletta's family.

Correct Achmed. Apart from Grimsby, Boston and other fishy places no where comes close to this place. It's a gem and a Chester treasure. I believe it's owned by a well known Italian family who settled in the city years ago.

It is mate. Been the same owners for years. Last fish I had from there wasn't great to be honest, I've had better (as you can probably tell!). Georges as stated, or Garden Lane Chippy.

There's so many chippies mentioned in this thread that I'm still none the wiser as to which is the best.

If I fancy fish, chips and mushy peas tomorrow, where should I go? unsure.gif

Dont like George's always seem limp and greasy (bit like John Butler) the one on Sealand road is ace massive portions and a really nice couple that run it as well

Two crackers in Pwllheli last weekend, one is award-winning.

The best chippies are always the coastal chippies close to the beach - a la Master Fryer in the 'ferry.
