Conditions of Use
Deva Chat is a Moderated Internet Society. We believe in freedom of expression and opinion within certain limits. These limits are necessary for legal and moral reasons, and to prevent anti-social behaviour on the board.
By posting on Deva Chat you are indicating acceptance of the following conditions of use, and agree to be bound by them. These conditions of use are designed to set out limits of acceptable use in order to maintain a vibrant, successful and enjoyable forum for all users. If you do not agree with any aspect of these conditions of use, your only course of action is not to post on Deva Chat.
1) All messages posted are the sole responsibility of the author and not this website. All views expressed are those of the individual.
2) Excessive or unnecessary swearing or abusive language will not be tolerated in the subject or body of any posting, or in user's signatures or Custom Member Titles. Swear filtering is in operation on this board.
3) No threatening behaviour is to be contained in the subject or body of any posting. Any communication that is intended to harass, belittle, humiliate, threaten or cause embarrassment to others is prohibited.
4) Libellous or defamatory posts are strictly prohibited.
5) While the publicising of events or charitable enterprioses relevant to CFC are welcome, commercial postings or advertisements will be removed.
6) Spamming the board is strictly prohibited and will result in preventative and disciplinary measures being taken by the Deva Chat moderating team. A poster will be deemed to be spamming if, in the opinion of the board moderators, he or she is posting excessively on the board on the same subject or similar subjects, to the extent that it is causing annoyance or inconvenience to board users.
7) Excessive trolling will not be tolerated. Trolling is defined as posting material of a nature that is designed to incite and inflame outrage amongst board users. We will remove any entries that centre on trolling for arguments, or are focused on tearing down fellow contributors instead of engaging in topical argument.
8) Statements that are bigoted, hateful, racially or religiously offensive will not be tolerated.
9) Posting of copyright material is strictly prohibited without the permission of the copyright holder. If the original material is available online, a link to the original should be provided instead unless you have reason to believe the copyright holder would object to this.
10) Material that advocates illegal activity or discusses illegal activities with the intent to commit them will not be tolerated.
11) The posting of pornographic material or linking to external pornographic material is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of pornographic images within user's avatars.
Deva Chat admin and moderators reserve the right to take whatever action they deem necessary against users or individual posts which, in their opinion, fall outside these conditions of use.
We will endeavour to remove or edit posts which fall outside these guidelines as soon as possible when they are spotted by us, or reported to us. However, posts remain the sole responsibility of the individual authors at all times, even after notification has been made to us of violations of these conditions of use. While we take all possible care and attention with the running of this message board, due to the nature of the internet we cannot be omnipresent.
