With the game off this Sunday, and with what looks to be the end for Chester City FC as we knew it today.....

How about we get an all fans XI off DC to play an all Red Passion XI on Sunday, same kick off time, different location. Or play it on the carpark of the Deva!? Get the Vaughan Out chants going, bucket collections etc for the CFU!?

Short notice, but would this be feasbile?

Would YOU be interested in playing?

I am sure no police presence would be needed, at the end of the day it would be about sending a message to the Vaughan clan that we will play on without them.

If it is feasible then we could surely get the CFU to get their contacts in the media, national, regional and local involved. They would lap this right up in light of all the problems at the club!

NWAS, Greeny, et al. Could this be done?

Nope not a sausage. Don't have access to their site and off to work in a sec. Could someone with access to their website copy my original post above and paste it onto their site?

If we can get the interest then it would be a firm 2 fingered salute to the Vaughan family!

How about all supporters who want the club to continue ,meet up onmass at the deva ,this will show how many realy want the club, and a bucket collection could be taken and handed over tothe CFU chaps.

Where abouts on RP mate?

I can't believe that there's been no-one interested in this! (Bar Greeny) No PMs no nothing. This would be a unique opportunity for us to stick 2 fingers up at the Vaughan clan.

Sky Sports News would lap it up big time, and it would give our plight NATIONAL media coverage for definite, which is what you've all been bleating on about that we haven't had!

Come on, show some fking balls and help me get this off the ground for gods sake people!!

Found it on RP.

WSFC and AFC Chester are looking to take their scheduled match to Sunday instead to kick off at 12pm.

Griff, if you read this lad then make it happen!!

Since AFC Chester and Wrecsam supporters team play in the same league, the NFSL, then it would make sense for the two sides to make their league fixture some kind of event, given that the respective first team clubs don't have a game now!

Perhaps later in the year the two Chester supporters teams, AFC Chester and Deva Chat FC can stage a game whereby their players pay, say, a £10 match fee, and all proceeds go to the CFU?

How about charging everyone to watch the game ... but having two lots of buckets ... red and blue.

Supporters can then choose whichever supporters group they want their admission to go to ... eitther CFU or the Wrecsam group.

You're more likely to get a better "gate" if you let people donate money to the club of their choice. At the end of the day, lots of fans will show sympathy for each others clubs, but would rather their money went to their own club which - fair enough - is more important to them.

This way, you'd get a game... everyone would donate... and the club of their choice would benefit.

1 Paul Carden - No idea I only thought about it this morning and been in work all day so not had chance to do anything.

Mancot and 3mm, yes I would say that it would be far better to get two existing fans teams to play, but instead of getting it on at a pitch in the middle of nowhere get it as a kickabout (jumpers for goalposts and all that) on the carpark at the Deva.

Can anyone from the CFU advise if this would be a possible idea?

Can Mike Griffiths of AFC Chester supporters team advise if this is do-able... we need to move fast!

Probably encounter a few problems with your first point - trespassing et al. Is it just going to be jeans and trainers in that case? People falling over on gravel etc. Better to make it a proper match between two supporters teams, IMO.

Ask Andy H if we can do the AFC C vs DCFC thing.

I would think a Chester v Wr**h*m game would carry more interest though, especially with the media

By the looks of things on here I think I'm pretty much p1ssing in the wind with this

It is a good idea, but the logistics have to be considered. I don't think "jumpers for goalposts" in the club car park is wise, myself. Make it a proper game.

Somebody should look into getting the game on at The Nomads ground or at Chester rugby club etc. Could make a few quid for CFU

done abit of digging and found this

SAUGHALL THURSDAY (Division One) & (Division Two)
David Turner, 14 Greenway, Saughall, Chester. CH1 6EQ
Colours: White Shirts, Black Shorts, Black Socks. (First Team)
Colours: Yellow Shirts, Yellow Shorts, Yellow Socks. (Reserves)
Ground: County Offices Sports Club, Upton, Chester. CH2 4EU (First Team)
Ground: University Playing Fields, Clifton Drive, Chester. CH1 5LT. (Reserves)
Dressing Room: On Ground. E-Mail: turner.thomas@hotmail.co.uk
Tel: 01244 880856 or 07830 263622 or 07916 159499

looked on the maps aswell and they look in good shape from the maps it has one rugby pitch and two football pitches it looks like the uni own it.
It might be worth giving that Dave Turner a ring or email to see who his contacts are.
BTW looks like its clifton drive not gorse hill, Ground: University Playing Fields, Clifton Drive, Chester. CH1 5LT. (Reserves)

For Gorse Hill (Blacon term) or Clifton Drive (the posh name) you need to speak to Kirsty Hill at Chester University.

good pitches at clifton drive, that's where we play our home games. I think its around 40/50 quid to hire, i'm sure someone will correct me though. it'll be a better idea imo to play somehwere like there instead of the car park.
