City Fans United can today announce that four new Directors have been co-opted onto the CFU Board.

The Board are delighted to announce that Jeff Banks, Mark Howell, Calvin Hughes and Simon Olorenshaw have been co-opted – all subject to FA Clearance.

Richard Lynes will also take on the role of non-executive Director.

Also following last night’s board meeting at the Swansway Chester Stadium, David O’Toole has resigned from his position as Director with immediate effect.

With these four new experienced and proven CFU Board Directors joining the remnant previous Board I now believe there is a clear real hope that they will establish a new confidence in the future of our club and this action provides a real incentive and hope for donations to now be given with utter confidence of success for our survival and with good communications for all. Thank you four for offering your talented services - that is just great.

Over the years we have had some excellent directors who have proved themselves as very capable, it is great news that some of these have come to our aid in our hour of need, however part of OUR problem is getting a capable board in place for the long term so that we don't keep making the same mistakes over and over ( shirt deal for example, 2 CEO's made redundant etc) .

Pauline Meakins wants these kind of matters looked into as soon as we have got the current financial problems under control and resolved and I fully agree with her.
