My recent purchases have been....
"Triplicate" by Bob Dylan, a three CD set of standards, similar to last two albums.

"Aquostic" by Status Quo. You Tube "Drive my Car", a great acoustic track.

"Turn up the quiet" by Diana Krall, great as usual, but just wish she would return to her jazz roots, and have some more up tempo stuff on her albums.

Have discovered a brilliant track on my daughters Jake Buggs first album "Slide", genius.

"Get rich and die swinging" by the Jonny Hepbir Quartet. Discovered this group on You Tube, great jazz sound, a la Stephan
Grapelli.

Also discovered on You Tube. "Tuba skinny" a great American traditional jazz band.

Recent gigs attended, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons at the MEN, at 83 he still did a great set in front of a near full house.

Madeleine Peyroux at Liverpool Philarmonic, a great "stripped back" performance from a modern day Billie Holiday.

I am afraid I don't listen to music much nowadays, just the oldies station here and my 50-60's LPs and 45s. I just find the rest noisy rubbish, but then I am getting old and increasingly grumpy...or so I am told by my grandkids who listen to it on their headphones!

Google "Changes all those changes" and "Instead" that will do for starters, she's brilliant.

my most recent purchases were, you never can tell (chuck Berry) and Johnny and Mary by Robert Palmer whom I was fortunate enough to see live in Washington DC many moons ago, both artists are no longer with us unfortunately

I saw Chuck Berry in the 60's, never did see Mr. Palmer.
