The very respected journalist Mihir Bose has just said on BBC News that until the 'man at the top' goes FIFA will not change. This follows on from the investigation in the integrity of the 2018 and 2022 awarding of World Cups in which only the English bid has been deemed suspect. FIFA is a complete laughing stock. It tarnishes the whole image of top football. Why can't the leading nations just break away and form their own transparent organisation. The rest would soon follow.

It's outrageous isn't it? FIFA has basically found itself not to be corrupt, who saw that coming?

It's obvious to anyone with a brain cell that Qatar didn't get 2022 fair and square.

And the main organisation that complained and highlighted the possible coruption issues, is one of the main organisations criticised in the report! Absolute laughable or is Lord Triesman to blame!?

Has Blatter actually confirmed that he is standing for yet another term? FIFA are as bad as the banks.

Preaching to the converted there fella.

FIFA are a disgrace, and they don't even seem arsed about trying to hide their corruption!

An additional issue for us is that our FA are weak and in the back pockets of the Premier League who we all know, hold all the cards when it comes to deciding how English football is run.

The whole structure of governance of the game needs to change from FIFA at the top through to domestic regional leagues (southern league accepting Hereford United as an example) Corruption is rife throughout the game and it stinks!!

The FA don't exactly emerge smelling of roses. Lavished a stack of money trying to woo Jack Warner, who is well known to be dodgy.

My take on Blatter is that he is so corrupt and self-serving he will eventually be found out in some other sphere of his life and be brought down through a criminal prosecution much in the manner that the FBI eventually got Al Capone for tax evasion.

He behaves as though he believes himself to be untouchable and he will make a critical mistake. The US are already going after him.

Trouble is even if Blatter didn't stand again (which I think he is) you'd get Platini, who would be just as bad. The whole thing is rotten from top to bottom.

The trouble is,as Mike Rigg said to us at the Senior Blues, the Premiership is an entirely separate organisation to the FA,so how on earth can you get any cohesion in English football when that's allowed to happen? You have the FA responsible for the Championship and below, negotiating for a World Cup in which only Premiership players get chosen to play for England!
You couldn't make it up!

The only way that Blatter is going to go, is if he gets his collar felt. Which hopefully is not too far away.

One of the better articles I read of the corrupt scum at the top of FIFA this weekend - and perhaps between advertisers recoiling at being associated with such a toxic brand in the future and UEFA mooting the possibility of boycotting future FIFA bidding processes, Blatter may finally go. I won't hold my breath though, given he clearly feels that unless he is there the lid can't be kept on the sea of sewage he has created:
