Every time I've attended we've ended up winning, as I'm now in Manchester I'm hoping my good luck rubs off on the thread as I can't make it. Will be watching on BT sport and I'm going for a 2-0 win to the blues, Durrell and Akintunde to score. Already going through the motions of nervous and excited and hope it's an entertaining game.

Safe journey to all those attending and hope it's a game I'm gutted to have missed

It all depends on which 'Chester' turn up. If we attack um at pace i don;t think they will cope. We need to press Rooney, give him no time on the ball, he will start hitting the long ball and the Goats game will go to pot 1-3 to the blues Richards Mahon Durrel

Can't see many goals in this. They've conceded 1 at home, and we've scored 2 away.

Realistically either 0-0 or 1-0 to them.

On the other hand when less of us travel, we do better. I expect a battling performance from us today. This team deserves the results they get from their efforts and commitment. One bit of quality might change the game today. Durrell ??

Come on Blues.

Echo your thoughts. Hope to god this decision pays off, appreciate he is trying to protect the young lad but personally disappointed not to see Hughes start. Come on blues were better than them this year.

It is a bad start and it is very quiet on here ... the game has been on for 25 minutes and not one commentator has come on here to tell us exiles what is happening.

I'm getting texts from friends at the ground confirming a bad start and sitting too deep. Usual silly mistakes and aimless balls forward.
At least I can see the floodlights from Finland!.

Trouble is that most people in the UK who aren't at the game, or in the Chester FC bar, will be in a pub watching it on BT Sports. I'm off to a pub for the second half. guiness.gif

Sat watching on telly. Wrexham have a a couple of half chances and picked up a booking. Not a great game so far. Wrexham slightly on top so far in my opinion.

Basically an even game of few chances. Good battles in midfield. Wxm had an early chance and Chester just had a good spell and denied a penalty decision. Not much in it - slighlty wxm if anything.

Not match thread-related, but this link is worth reading - Merseyside Police's assessment of the bubble and what could be done to enable us to go to the game without a bubble.

Bizarrely, they didn't speak to any Chester fans' groups, because they said they thought there weren't any! Indeed, one of their recommendations to enable us to have a bubble-free derby is for Chester to have a supporters' group!

https://www.wrexham.com/news/bubble-match-r...rel-119635.html

Have a look at the PDFs on the bottom of the link as well. An interesting half-time read.

Penalty appeal for Chester, no way. Reply shows no chance. Chester coming into the game a bit more. No real goal chances though.
