It's tonight.

City Fans United Members (Formal) Meeting – Tuesday 5th June

The next City Fans United members meeting is set to take place on Tuesday 5th June, in the Blues Bar at the Swansway Chester Stadium.

The meeting was originally scheduled for Thursday 24th May, however, we have rescheduled the date to allow the board to bring members updated information around the donation by Stuart Murphy, and also non-executive director Richard Lynes will also be presenting his findings on the review he has been carrying out on CFU matters relating to the last 12 months.

We are also hoping to be joined by the new management team at Chester FC on the evening too, so plenty of reasons to come along!

The meeting will start at 7.30pm with the bar open from 7pm on the evening and as it’s a members meeting only, we will be taking new membership sign ups on the night and you can also renew your membership on the night too.

Although to help us with renewals, please visit the following link where you can actually renew or sign up online prior to the meeting.

We look forward to seeing you on the night!

Is there no-one out there who can offer a report on this meeting that was deliberately held over (or so were told) to allow for more time to gather the information about the extra money that a special donor had given the club? And were there any other matters of importance that were possibly explained and discussed such as the previous lack of budget planning and the great overspend that nearly brought us to our knees. Also was the story of the big walk out further explained along with its resolution or was this just left hanging and unattended to and to possibly cause more trouble later on by its not being dealt with?

The presence of the two new coaches at the meeting has probably already been covered by reports we have read in the Chronicle so that area can be deferred but this other vital stuff needs exposing to all including CFU members - paid or unpaid at this moment in time.

Is this current silence not the same old story once again occurring of a lack of thoughtful and quick communication with those of us who cannot attend or even listen in to such meetings but where the club still wants our subscriptions and donations and support?

'And at the CFU meeting held yesterday evening, which included new joint managers Bernard Morley and Anthony Johnson addressing the Blues fans in attendance, non-executive director Richard Lynes said he expected confirmation of the investment within the next two weeks'.

At the original meeting date all they might have been able to say was that due diligence was still in process.
Put the meeting back and they can announce the result of the due diligence process.
Nobody promised that the whole thing would be complete by the meeting only that they would be able to give an update which is what happened.
