Is the Club Shop being run by Jacamo?

To be honest have a look around the ground tonight and Saturday I bet there's quite a high demand for XL shirts these days. Some right porkers about nowadays

If does seem a recurring theme how we lose out on revenue. I had hoped the appointment of a new CEO would have improved things but apparently not. We don't even have raffle ticket income this year.

Quite agree, been asking for ages for big winter coats to be finally told no we aren't getting any now,
This happened last year as well. A lot of money being lost here IMO.

I have been frustrated by this in the past myself, however, in the club shops defence the majority of people wanting a replica kit more than likely get it earlier in the season during the initial rush, leaving the shop with a surplus of less popular sizes. If they have a deal with the supplier which requires a minimum order then it may not be worth the financial risk to buy in more sizes during the season in case they don't sell them and are left with dead stock.

Still an annoying situation though for a fan at this time of year.

Hi Andy - the last chance to order for an online order of the Exiles' Chester Hall of Fame calendars is Thursday. They're £10 inc p&p on this link:

The kit ordered was/is bespoke, and as in the past when we have ordered bespoke kit the club get one shot at it. The order for kit and training gear (coats included, or excluded as it turns out) was done when the vote was ratified back in late 2015, and there is no way the club can order more stock now due to the manufacturing process/period.

It is very unfortunate and frustrating when some supporters miss out, but the club is caught between a rock and a hard place. Do they get an off the peg kit that they can replenish, but risk the wrath of the fans by not having a vote? Or do they have a vote and run the risk of running out of shirts? Maybe the members should vote on it... tongue.gif

The Exiles calendars were on sale in the Club Shop last night, and are available from Sue, see above.

We won't be taking any more online orders for our calendars after tonight (thanks for the last-minute rush of orders). Any queries with existing orders, please email calendar@chesterexiles.co.uk. All orders we have already taken should be fulfilled in time for Christmas!

As NWAS says, they are now available in the club shop.

Just buy a Porto shirt and write MBNA on a piece of paper and pin it to the front of the shirt.

Cheeky sod, actually surely everyone knows that it is all to do with the Toblerone trick of shrinking sizes but charging the same price. For example I used to find XL quite big but these days for some reason always need to get a XXL. Bloody inflation.

I hope we've had our fingers burnt on this Puma deal and return to the likes of Joma or Sondico who will produce a decent enough kit and be much more beneficial. They only need to last for 2 years max after all.

Nothing to do with Puma, this would have been the same anywhere a bespoke kit was ordered from. The order was placed as soon as the clubs owners had made the decision. It is apparent that not enough S, M or L shirts were ordered, something that the people now running the shop are more than aware of...

The failure of the club to capitalise on Chrismas this year has been disappointing. Last year there was the stall, we even had Christmas jumpers, which flew out plus loads of other stocking filler gifts.

I'm sure if you make your suggestions to Mark Maguire he will be happy to implement them in time for next year. The change in staff necessary this year has set the club back a bit in time and budget on the commercial side to be honest.
