Who would you realistically want as our next boss?

Shaun Reid?
Dave Challinor?
Ronnie Moore?
Anymore?

Reidy would certainly instill some fight into us. Can't see SB walking - he will need a push and a big cheque to go with it. Hence I can't see him going anywhere.

The two scallys from Salford City. Would love to see them tear a strip off Higgins, Sharps, Rooney, Shaw, Chappell, Hobson et al. I bet if they came in Hobble would soon go on loan.

Credit to Neil Young. When he saw that his team was failing to perform he handed the baton over without fuss or ceremony.

I still don't think we'll go down.

We're 7 points from the drop zone and although we're not playing well we are not getting tonked every week and we are competitive.

I really don't think it would take much to get a little more consistency.

My biggest disappointment with Burr is the lack of opportunities he has given our young players. Could they really have done any worse?

Burr has made some mistakes but he's not a bad manager, his record with other clubs tells us that.

Next 3 games are crucial and I'm prepared to give him those games. If we come away from those without a win then I think the board will have no choice.

Put Burr and McCarthy on garden leave and let Calum and Herbert see us through to the end of the season in the knowledge that they cannot be any worse.

But I don't think that was the case when he stepped down at Stockport as I'd be surprised if Merseyrail would have given him another sabbatical when he took that job on.

How about appointing Ronnie Moore as Director of Football and asking McCarthy to shut the door on the way out.

Reid and Challinor probably have the biggest budgets in their respective divisions. They won't have that at Chester. Moore has never managed part time players at non league level and was sacked presumably because he was guiding Hartlepools to relegation from the League.

He had a full time job somewhere, it was one of the factors he mentioned in his resignation statement.

NY had 25 games for us in the league. Won 4 Drew 10 Lost 11. = 22 points
Steve Burr over the last 25 games record is Won 6 Drew 6, Lost 13. = 24 points

Now NY wasn't exactly setting the world on fire with his start to life in the conference but interesting to compare the two.

You could also take SB's first 25 games this season. Won 9, Draw 6, lost 11 - 33Points. - Not too bad. Not great but steady.

If you could have any manager FROM THIS LEAGUE and with our budget, who, if any, do you think could do a better job then SB or NY before him?

Some people have very short memories. I've a lot of respect for JH's previous spell in charge and his overall achievements in the game. But don't people remember how he placed himself in line for the managers job or running the academy, whilst both those jobs had good people already in place. It's a no thanks from me.

I work with two lads who are season ticket holders at Macclesfield and they tell me they would snap our arms off to Have Burr as manager. Swap anyone?

I think a couple more losses and SB would maybe think of a mutual agreement.

Two relegations in three seasons would not look good on a CV, especially for someone as ambitious as our manager. I don't think his ego would accept that.
